Myself and Ron Adams agree with you. I can see the entire coaching staff face palm after that pick. And you are right, you are no draft expert, I am no draft expert, and we saw this coming. Makes me wonder what was going on during this draft.
Well the Bulls were looking for raw talent and just someone they could mold instead of the safe pick that everyone here complained about. IIRC they worked out Dieng, Plumlee, Snell, Tony Mitchell, THJ, and a couple of other people. When I saw that I knew they weren't picking a big because it was a report they went to like 10-15 Lobos games and about 7 games to see Tony Mitchell at Texas. Basically I think they don't care about how the other guys turned out because they knew what they were skipping out on and took a chance on a guy they thought could be molded into the player they wanted.
I am sure that is true, but doesn't mean it was the right pick and it is showing right now. No matter what their intentions were it is not working out.
Imagine what a package of Plumlee and salary fillers can get you. Imagine what a package of Snell and fillers get you.
