The new facility will house Bulls, Blackhawks, Levy Restaurants and United Center employees, as well as a new Blackhawks and Bulls retail store. The location planned for the new 190,000-square foot building is the current United Center Parking Lot H.

I hope so. I'm not like violently opposed to moving it, but I guess I would prefer to see it stay outside. It's iconic out there.

Here's an article about it: http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20150122 ... r-building

Fans and guests can gather in the atrium before, during and after games and events, officials said.

The statute draws fans from all over the world, many of whom don't have tickets to a game or who visit when the Bulls aren't in town or in season.

However, officials could not immediately say whether the atrium would be open on days when there isn't an event or game.

Let's hope so! Like the article says, it is a tourist destination, people come from all over the world and they want to see the MJ statue.

Nice building but they need to keep the statue in front of the UC.

edit: it would cost extra so it wont happen, but why not locate the statue to the madison side or in front of the other parking lot opposite Madison. It would require some construction work on the streets to make it fit and still have room for people and cars to get by, but the iconic look will still be there.

If it is to be inside that new building they better have a kick ass idea of where to put it, that picture is very underwhelming.
