That was a good day. I was on the treadmill when they announced the 9th pick and I almost fell off of it. When they announced Miami at #2 I pretty much had to just quit and go home.

While bumping this thread is great, nothing beats the original lottery thread that girlygirl started. Here it is starting at page 12:

It's too bad Duck (at least I think it was Duck, lol) locked it right away but I think that thread really does a better job of recapturing the moment and everyone's thoughts than any other.

Personally I remember that when they called the New Jersey Nets, I got down on my knees, looked up in the sky, and started praying hard to the deity I believe in and closed my eyes and just heard Adam Silver say "...the Charlotte Bobcats"

I was home alone, I screamed, I lost my voice and I went crazy. I don't know how you guys could manage being at the computer and not break something. I called my friend, a fellow Bulls fan, and just screamed. Then I got it together and he turned it on (he wan'st watching) and we waited till the top 3. Then we BOTH screamed when we got #1.

Oh man, I'll never forget that day.

I think this years draft class will be one of the worst since the bulls took curry

A couple of thoughts from watching the 2009 lottery broadcast:

1. What the F was that thing on Larry Bird's head? It sure as S wasn't hair. Looks like something he takes off and puts in a cage at night.

2. I discovered that my hatred for the Knicks is a little bit overboard. I actually threw my fists in the air and let out a woot when they didn't move up in the lottery.

3. When it got to the top 3, I was rooting for OKC. LAC and the Griz have already established that they are bad enough franchises that even the best talent is destined to futility and failure.

4. My first thought when the Clips won the lottery: Griffen just threw up in his mouth a little bit.
