Whats the underlying theme?

Active big men...active big men (really big men) have been killing the Bulls all offseason.

Part of that will be addressed since Noah is on the mend. But we need Taj and Gasol to step up and the wings to box out.

We do that and we are back to playing Bulls basketball. This limits opponent posessions and sets up our transition game as opposed to inbounding the ball after a second attempt putback.

i think ppl should chill, that an entire unit thats out of flux with mcd nt ready physically seemingly and mdj out. thats two of our top 3 wings out of a unit that was our weakest to begin with. les chill.
ppl are talking about firing thibs, hate thibs, crushing derrick.

One of those two missing wings has been back for over a week and has seen 2 minutes of floor time. In other words, our head coach has no interest in figuring out if the FOs offseason solution to the 3, trading two 1sts for Doug, will work.

Can you stop blaming Thibs for Doug's problems. He was hurt and just got back. Again, Thibs said he hasn't practised much at all and he needs a few practices before he can play. Remember, Thibs put him out in the first game even when everyone was healthy.

I am also pretty certain that Jen and team also have reccomendations of when to play him etc.

For example, they may only want him to play in case of extreme foul trouble.

And then bring him back up to abour 10 minutes first.

He's healthy, he can play....he could've gotten several minutes in the SA game. I'm not saying Thibs should throw him on the floor in high leverage situations, I'm just saying he should get some minutes here and there to feel the pace of the game, get some shots under his belt, and try to find something positive to build upon. Surely we aren't worried about his defensive impact, given what we've seen from the regular rotation guys this season. The FO bet heavily on Doug being productive this season. His first stint did not go well, at all....but we don't know if that was due to injury or what. We KNOW he's healthy now or he wouldn't be suited up...let's see what we've got.

On the flipside, Kirk was not brought in for $2.7M to play 30mins a game or be a key piece for this team...or atleast it's safe to assume that was not the intention of the FO. But Thibs is gonna Thibs.

That's my frustration...Thibs' seeming reluctance to experiment or coach somewhat within the plan the FO executed this past offseason.

Today, if I had a choice, I'd take Lillard. Big shot ability, can score, decent "PG".

Thibs is horrible. A front office and coach have to plan. Thibs just does what he wants. He ruin Rose Deng Noah and now butler with his over play everyone of them has been hurt by this tyrant

Then we get on here like irlt is the players fault. Really a top 5 coach who refuses to male adjustments and speaks about defence when the average score is above 90 I the league.

I always said he is the reason why it took him 20 years to get a head coach gig. So trade or dump rose Noah and butler. Also the 2 rookies and see what happens

Most of the time I just read the thread but today I'm feeling like this coach is done

The Bulls defense sucks! Hill, Boozer, Clarkson, and Ellington made them look like fools.
Also, it goes without saying but Derrick Rose is frustratingly awful. He tried to be the hero when Jimmy already set the tone by dominating whomever was guarding him in the post.

In the last two games he's shooting 20-59 with 7 assists and 16 turnovers. Maybe it's not "hating," maybe it's stating a fact that he's playing horrible basketball. A shooting slump is one thing, but 30 shots a game is absurd. As is a 30% 3 point shooting taking as many 3's as Kyle Korver.

Simple. I want him to not play terrible basketball.

This month he's scoring 17 ppg, shooting 37% overall, 33% from 3, 4.9 assists and 3 turnovers a game. That's pretty horrific.

But... he's healthy. That's all that matters. Or so I read.
