Jordan is probably the biggest reason I'm such a huge Bulls fan. He's also possibly the greatest competitor in sports I have ever seen. However, learning about his history just makes me cringe. The more I learn about him as a person, the more I'm glad that he hid his persona while playing, because I probably wouldn't care about the Bulls as much as I do now if I knew at the time (grade school and high school) the type of person he is. More and more stories come out how he punched teammates and bullied people verbally that he didn't like including Krause. I assume he had an instant hate for Purdue due to his involvement in the Oakley trade. I'm glad at least Cartwright put him in his place.

I like the intent of your post, but I think Jimmy is 100 X the person Jordan is. I just wish Jimmy had the same skills. :)

Nice share though.

Horace took it really well. He seems like a very gracious guy. I've watched a few of him being asked questions about MJ (I think one with Bill Simmons) and he really loves to talk about those days.

There's such a clear love of reliving his memories that it almost makes it a little sad.

It just occured to me that Horace played his entire career next to a great player. MJ/Shaq/Shaq,Kobe

Jordan's drive to be the best was a gift and curse. It got him to the top, but he was/is a pretty sh%tty person in general. Look up the Chamillionaire MJ Story if you ever get a chance, made MJ look pretty bad.
