Snell Wil our second best wing. Let that sink in...

I grimace every time I see his 3.5ppg in the starting line-up.

The trade deadline is in two weeks. If MDJ isn't going to be 100% this season (and somehow I doubt he will be), then a trade must be done. I hate this misinformation coming out of the Bulls.

I agree. I think Doug said in his blog today that obviously the injury wasn't your standard "rolled ankle". It was much worse than that. If he has a deep bone bruise, he could ultimately still be a month or so away. He has iced his foot for over a month now and still cant even practice.

But I more blame the medical staff or whomever is the PR people concerning how they release info. They had Dunleavy listed as Day to Day since he first rolled it. If it would have simply said 2-4 weeks, it would at least put things to rest on how long they sit and the question wouldnt be raised every day.

In any case, I think a deal has to be done. Because the reality is, even with a healthy Dunleavy, we still have an athleticism deficit at that spot.

Bulls can easily be creative here. They should try and package a few smaller pieces for an athletic SG/SF. Heck just find someone from the D League. Just do something.

If Miami can find someone like Whiteside sitting in the D League, I'm sure the Bulls can find someone better than Snell/Kirk there too.

There might be a silver lining in all of this if MDJ's injury makes the Bulls act on a wing move when they otherwise wouldn't have.

A wing move now --- not a D-League pickup, but a real rotational wing pick-up ---- would indicate that MDJ is out for another month at least.

This cant be a good thing.

You cant find a 42% 3 point shooter who also plays defense. Teams arent lining up to trade such players.
For love, not money.

Acceptable trade off to have a real wing rotation by the playoffs.

Sounds good but will never happen. Have to fill those roster spots with "respectable vets" such as Nazr Mohammed and the like. No taking a chance on young, cheap players with the slightest hint of upside or youth, EVER!

True....but more importantly, it might allow the Bulls to put MDJ in a trade. Basically if he is out for an extended amount of time, he is useless to us. I think one of the main reasons for not trading him is that it would have been almost disrespetful to move a vet that had signed with the team thinking it was a contender. But if he isn't going to play anyway (or be hampered all year)...all bets are off. We can get more back using MDJ's salary.
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....
