Played through injuries. Just wanted to weeeeiiin. Even when he was out with his major injuries, he worked hard to get back, and the team took on the persona of Noah, which is much the same.
Now Rose is back, and he's soft. He doesn't play smashmouth ball anymore. He lollygags on both ends, and takes the easy way out. He cares about his post-basketball life. He gets special treatment in practice from some woman who has powers over Thibs. He is still our franchise. This is problem number one.
Leaders always rub off on their teams. Its why the Bears have been a mess even with so much talent. It's why we have been historically scrappy for the past 4 years. Making a trade won't fix this for this season. Firing Thibs won't fix this. Our only hope is Derrick quitting his **** and manning up.
Aren't you essentially arguing that it's the non-Rose players' fault for being spineless followers? They had no trouble playing hard the past two seasons when we were just treading water. Do you really think Rose was orchestrating that behind-the-scenes?
I don't give any merit that the team has lost their powers like the players in Space Jam because Rose isn't "leading" well. Leadership doesn't always equate to wins. Chris Paul is one of the best leaders in the NBA and he's never come close to an NBA championship.
There was no drop off from Rose to Noah, as I mentioned.
Also, there is a difference between losing "powers" and losing the mentality and the airs which makes you successful. Im also going to disagree with you about Chris Paul. He is mister king flopper and complainer. His team is soft just like him. We are soft just like Rose. At least CP3's teams play hard for him because he himself plays hard. Rose takes it easy, our team takes it easy.
