Actually, I am not really that big a fan of Kirk. But your bias against him is pretty apparent when you make outrageous statements like his defense has been highly overrated for years and he's been dribbling out the clock for years, etc... And you say it as if you saying it makes it fact, against the opinions of almost every analyst, coach, player opinion over the years. If you couldn't ever see value in Hinrich's game, even when he was actually a small scoring threat and responsible for running the entire offense I guess I could see where you wouldn't understand his contribution now.
I'm curious which stats we're allowed to use to judge Kirk. If we're not permitted to use shooting stats, then let's look at them all. In the link is a head 2 head player comparison of Snell V Hinrich for the whole year.

Spoiler alert: Outside of 3pt% and assists, Snell is ahead of Kirk in every category, and most think Snell's not an NBA caliber player.
So you can't watch a game and tell me why a player is terrible without stats? The problem is, there are facets of the game that there are no stats to measure. However, when playing PG, I would think unless you are in just because you are a volume scorer, the most important offensive stat is turnovers, wouldn't you? They are the most destructive thing to an offense. The 2nd most destructive thing is taking stupid shots. Hinrich excels in both categories compared to either rose or Brooks. But don;t get me wrong, I am not comparing Hinrich to Rose. Rose is a go to starter. Hinrich and Brooks are ROLE players. I can't believe no one understands the concept. Brooks can't do what Hinrich is good at; in fact he sucks at it. Hinrich can't do what Brooks is good at. In fact, he sucks at it. theya re both back-up players. So far, I haven't seen Snell bring the ball down the court and set up the offense, which Hinrich often does even when playing beside Rose. When he does, come back to me and compare their stats.
The other problem is, Snell and Hinrichs sample size and roles are completely different. If you don;t understand the nuances of the game outside of stats, I can't help you. I have detailed them numerous times and NO ONE addresses any of them. They just go pick out some stats. enjoy your mathematical brain exercise.
Pretty funny exchange between u two, but kirk is a guy that can execute the offense. Sure its not quantifiable, but its a reality.
Another reality is that some ppl act like kirk should be benched for his bad play, is not gonna happen. He is entrenched as a backup guard player and unless the bulls conjuer up a better player i dont see why he is such a vocal point.
