Most of the sub 0.80 PPP teams have a TO frequency near or above 20%, while teams that allow a higher PPP tend to be closer to a 15% rate. The Bulls have the lowest TO Freq % in the league at 11.2% and are obviously near the bottom in defending the ball-handler in PnR situations.![]()
I guess the next logical question to ask is if it's scheme or personnel that's the issue.
Good eye on that one. I think it's because our go-to is to crash the boards and stick to the man, play good team defense. We're not taking as many risks as some teams. On one hand, it's good because we're not giving up easy baskets; on the other hand, it's bad because we're not cutting off opportunities. I think it's a delicate balance, and we're clearly too far on one end of the spectrum.
