Taj is playing bad, news comes out he's injured. He's made some bonehead moves lately.
If Rose was playing bad and said he was injured, he would've been torched.
Taj has been awful for longer than a month. Let's not say, I told you he was playing bad due to injury. Taj is up there in age, and he's lost a step.

Anyway I think we could all tell something was up with taj, he started off the season dominating, then slowed down like 10-15 games in, didnt have the same intensity.Last night he looked good though, hopefully that keeps up and if he needs rest it wont be a problem.

The article says they didn't release the info, because Taj didn't want the opposition to have an advantage. Didn't want another Jimmy situation. Teams knew Jimmy's shoulder was hurt, and were going after it.

See, I think everyone would dance and rejoice at the very notion of D Rose playing through an injury, but that's just me.

It came out now because he's hearing the boo's and criticism. He's been bad all year and just awful the past month. But Thibs keeps on playing him. If he's injured, let him sit. Or don't play him as much as he has not been affective.

You really don't have to imagine it Rose tried to play on two sprained ankles at the beginning of the season and got blasted for playing like crap (He actually injured the second because he was trying to play on the first injured ankle). Then when he stopped to heal he got blasted for that too. Then when he tried to play on a bad hamstring he got blasted again for not being aggressive and losing a step.

You sure he "got blasted" for playing bad through the original injury because I don't remember it that way? Seems a bit odd that he would get blasted for playing at less than 100% when the narrative of him playing at less than 100% was all anyone had to talk about for 2.5 years, no? Seems like a bit of a straw man to me, but I might be mistaken.

How is it a strawman? You said if Rose played through injury people would rejoice. He did play through injury and got blasted. It's a as direct of a response to your point as can probably be made. People were saying he was done, lost a step, wasn't aggressive and lost his athleticism.

Maybe it was a poor choice of phrase, but the point stands. I don't think he got "blasted" for trying to play hurt after 2 seasons of people questioning his willingness to do just that.

He got blasted!! Taj plays injured but he's a warrior. Taj has been bad all year but now his defenders are saying, I told you, he's a warrior, I knew he was injured. But during his awful play, he's being defended. Rose played early on injured and is still fighting injuries but now he's bad. He's no warrior, but Taj is. Taj is what he is, a backup PF who should get 12-20 mpg. Thats it!

Let's stop this Taj has been bad due to injury. His not passing out, or his shots over 2 defenders is not about being injured, Taj is a selfish player who hurts more than helps this team. His Eddy Curry defensive rebounding is hurting this team and giving up second chance points. He gives up 6-10 points a game due to not being in position for a rebound.

If he's injured, please sit, he is hurting this team more than helping.

Taj is the most over rated Bulls player.

There is no reason to be derailing this thread into a Rose thing is there?

Sorry didn't see the comment from the mod, I'll drop it.

More on topic I do think overall this team has had far too much of a play through it mentality that just gradually wears guys down. Specifically Noah has been playing when he wasn't even helping the team and probably doing far more damage to himself. Deng as well just wore himself down and actually took heat from the team in the media when he didn't want to go on a broken bone and went out and got a second opinion. Looks like Taj is running himself down as well. If the guy needs a break get the guy a break so he's right for the playoffs and give Mirotic a shot although this may be something that requires surgery so if it's like the Deng injury and he can play on it without it deteriorating just rest up the ankle and do the surgery in the offseason. This just seems like a huge problem with the team over the past few years.

There's this thing called workman's comp, you're **** up the shipping line. Get on it so someone with an able body can replace you until you're better.

Jesus christ this team sometimes.

it's the coach's job to reduce your minutes if you're playing poorly. thibs not only did not do that, but was well aware of the injury and did not consult him to sit

he's not playing particularly poorly anyway. he hasn't been as effective defensively, but that's been a year-long thing. presumably ankle related
