But ironically not the one guy that later dumped on Morey for getting Harden as if it was a no-brainer. :)

Host Tony Kornheiser then asked Barkley point blank if he felt Harden was a “foundational player the way the Rockets apparently do.

"I do not. I do not see him(Harden) like that for the simple fact (that) being an instant offense off the bench, when they’re going to give you the ball every time and you’re the dominant scorer, it won’t work like that when you’re in a traditional offense."

No, they didn't. They might have suspected at most. A MVP candidate doesn't go for KMart, Lamb, and a (lowish) #1 pick, even under duress. Harden went for that price because he wasn't regarded as being as good as an MVP candidate. To the extent that Morey thought otherwise -- which I do not know -- he was spot on and the rest of the league was wrong.
