Of the young ones i like Tony, and Doug looks cool as a person, but as a player i was against us drafting him for the whole last year, i really dont like NIkola, he can be good offensive player, maybe allstar type as Boozer season or two, but no way he is a superstar...

Rose didnt end this season! We dont know that!

The odds of landing anohet derrick Rose is slim. Every team needs that franchise player, right? We're gonna have to turn into an early 2000s pistons team. Atlanta ball. U know?

i really would like to believe that, but cmon do we really expect him to come back in few weeks, and be a great player? and not to get hurt the next year again?
right now i would be fine with the way he played most of the games this season, he was maybe 50 percent of his former self, but yesterday game, showed how much was easier for everyone else, even with that version of him!

This is important. If the smoke around the organization is true, there's probably an 80% chance Rose returns at some point this season.

yes. till now he should realize there is no long-term career for him. There is no coasting and preserving himself anymore. he tried that approach already, waiting, long pauses, picking his time. It didnt work, and he lost valuable time from the basketball. It's time for him to go all in or pretty much retire. Window is small for this team maybe even for him if he continue taking long pauses. It will only hurt his body later, and he will need to do all this he did this year again. The sooner he get's back the sooner he will get really back.

this is for the 88 kids...

i grew up living in Chicago, prime days of the 90s, born as an 88 kid. Life was good... I enjoyed as a baby during the Golden era of basketball; the Kemps, Barkleys, Olajawon, Paytons, KJohnson, T-Mac and Carters, AI, Shaqs, Kobes, Reggie Millers, Ewings, Starks, Drexlers, Birds, Magics, Hardaways (all of them), Mournings, Mutumbos, more importantly Pippen and Jordan.

Then came the 2000's, once i realized what had happen during my childhood days of playing in the back yard, emulating the last second(s) shot(s) of Jordan/Miller/Chapman/Johnson/Magic/Bird/Starks, that it was all of blur... not knowing of what was, but more so of what may come. The 2000's wasn't so great if you were a particular fan of a specific team, in this case the Bulls. The dynasty fell apart. A cast of no names and fill-in coaches were the 'future' to fill in big shoes of Jordan and Pippen. With success, first comes failure, and throughout those years, failure was the only success for tomorrow. Now, i began to understand what i had missed out on through seeing eyes of what greatness truly was...

Until today. Modern day Bulls, I've been so lucky to see the failures of yesterday to be granted a chance at success, as a fan. Rose Noah, Butler, Gasol, Mirotic, Taj, Brooks, Hinrich, Snell, Dougie, MDJ, are OUR chance at today's success. We've been through so much as fans, through the ups as a Jordan fan, through the down's as Baby Bulls, that we should not take today's team granted. Specifically the case of Derrick Rose, through his turmoil as an athlete, and success of an athlete, this is the time the city of Chicago should come together for a person in dire need. No one knows truly what he and his family have been through, other than a few side stories and youtube vidoes, but even then, we as fans will never understand. But as fans, we can be there for the sake of the team to give back our last ounces of passion, energy, desire, and love for the team.

I've never been so passionate about one team before in my life, and i've never been so proud of a team until Thibs era Bulls, that I will not give up on the season, nor will I give up on Rose... because i've never seen an athlete determined to fix today's task for tomorrows success. He is what Chicago is about... blue collar, gritty, and no matter what and whatever it takes, will get the job done.

I was wondering about the honey too but decided to ignore it haha.

Just some good ol' fashioned condescension lol. Meant no harm. The truth of the matter is that unless the seeding works out where you can avoid Cleveland, Atlanta, and Washington until the ECF, the Bulls without Rose are not getting to the ECF.

To the person who loled at the mention of Washington, The Bulls are overmatched at the point guard position as well as outmuscled at the PF and C positions to an extent that the Bulls could not hope to overcome in a seven game playoff. This Bulls team, even with Rose, has struggled famously against the Wizards.

I don't think yesterday's game showed anything. They had played more than plenty of games without Rose this year and performed much better, I attribute the poor performance Wednesday to the mental fatigue of losing Rose.

This is a positivity thread, where's the positivity?

Well, looks like they may have Rose. we wills ee at what level. Either way, call me crazy (you will) but I think the bulls can beat the Hawks with or without Rose and have a longshot chance at Cleveland. I keep hearing about the Washington matchup but the Wiz have been horrid lately, have they not?

Maybe that's the reason #TheReturn did not turn successful. Rose needs to cut it off.

Agreed. All that hair added extra weight and affected the meniscus knee.

Jokes aside, I think this situation could be a blessing in disguise as now we can give Snell and McD extra minutes where they can further develop and be effective come playoff time, as needed.

Since that awesome win against Houston on January 5th, the Bulls have gone 11-12. Since that same point in time, the Wizards are 10-14. 2 of the Wizards' 10 wins came against the Bulls.

Nikola has the potential to be a superstar? That seems to be a little bit of a stretch. The guy is 24 already and he really hasn't done anything spectacular this season. I think the expectations are a little unrealistic. There are no superstars in this league who breakout at 25.

You have to measure it against second year foreign players.

They dont have the same trendline as do rookies.

Niko already knows competitive basketball. He has to get used to NBA this season and we'll see next season what we have.

He also needs to not have Taj in his way.
