Chicago-Bull-E wrote:Jo/Taj being bad together makes sense. Both of their jumpers (while at best were mediocre), have fallen off. They are a couple of the worst jump shooting bigs in the league. Throw in Niko or Pau with one of them, and it works a lot better.

What made Jo and Taj pairing great was their defense and being able to lock down the paint. Both have been hobbled so that has really effected them.

Yep. And neither said anything about Doug. Nor had they said things like that after the first day of practice about Tony the year before, and Teague the year before that.

Player quotes are like pre-season performance -- mostly noise, but sometimes if the right filters are used, they can tell us something.

But Rose watched McDermott with the Select Team last week and liked what he saw.

“He rarely messes up,” said Rose. “He never pushes the issue, I would say. He never tries things he can’t do. He knows exactly what type of play he wants. For me, I need him because you can’t leave him. He has a lot of confidence in his shot, and he works on his shot every day. When I was playing with him while we were back in Chicago, I had to tell him whenever he’s open, I’m passing him the ball and he better shoot or I’m going to yell at him every time. If you can shoot, you can fit in.”

its there you can ignore it if you want  , the year of doug will be next year

The comments are from August. There is more current, relevant data that supercede any speculation by Rose in August. He hasn't lived up to Rose's or anybody else's expectations.

Plus Jo's offense has fallen off the map, and Taj no longer bursts out for big games, as he did several times last year.

yeah I know these are from august, it was in reply to the comment that Noah was complimenting Niko but nothing about doug. I still believe Doug can excel he just needs an off season for strength training
