Accidentally and 1'd as I was checking who and 1'd this post. Just stop.

i mean i like Rose and all

but lets be serious...hes been a huge liability....since we gave that max hes probably played just over a seasons worth of games in 4 years...thats not good

Well yeah, he's been a friggin bust for the vast majority of his current contract, but you just gotta play the waiting game with him, because of the potential he brings in helping you win a championship.

Sorry man, but if you think Rose at $20 and $21 million the next 2 years is the best useof 1/3 of our cap space you are crazy. The old D.Rose is gone and he isn't coming back. He is a chucker now who can't shoot from the outside at all. 28% from 3 and he took 5.5 attempts per game!!! That is beyond stupid.

There's nothing we can do. The only thing we can do is support him, have his back, and hope he comes back as an all star level talent, potentially superstar level. We won't get anything worthwhile for him.

That has been the most amusing thing about that discussion - "when was the last college coach to transfer successfully?".

Stevens, on the season, has been a top 5 coach. Done a masterful job. His season with these Celts has been as good as any one of Thibobeau's here.

Actually what the coach should do is sit down with him privately and tell him he hurts the team every time he takes a pull up 3-pointer. He is by far the worst 3-point shooter on the team. A pull up 3-pointer with a hand in your face is a terrible shot for anyone, but if for some reason we want to run our offense that way, there are 6-7 guys on the team who are better at that than Rose.

He still has the ability to help us obviously and be a valuable player, but his shot selection has been abysmal. He could be twice as good as he is right now by just playing within his limits. Any other level of basketball he would get benched for taking the shots he does.

Thibs needs to tell him to attack the hoop and set up his teammates. No more 3's. Similar to how Spoelstra convinced LeBron and Wade to stop jacking 3's a few years ago and they both became much more efficient players. If they can sacrifice a part of their game for the good of the team than so can Rose.

to put it in prospective BG got chewed out for taking a shot like that and he was a 41% shooter...i don't know where Derrick gets off thinking thats an ok shot for him being a 27% shooter

not saying Rose can't take 3's but cut down on the amount and stop taking stupid ones....i seen him pull up right in Deron Williams grill the other night....like what the fu*k?

Rose's cap hit has been an anchor.

However, you don't know how good he is going to be going forward. And you don't know if and how much he will be chucking.

Exactly right. Even though it isn't a great shot, I can sort of understand a guy like Stephen Curry, Ben Gordon, Ray Allen, etc. taking that shot because they can still hit it at a 35-40% clip even with pressure. Rose can't even hit 30% when he is wide open. Why does he think it is ok for him to just pull up and jack a 3-pointer with a defender right on him 4 seconds into the shot clock???? We could get that shot ANYTIME we want, and we can get it from someone else who can actually shoot.

Thibs has told him at least via the media. Thibs is aware of it. I assume he's careful of Rose being sensitive. But Thibs definitely agrees with us.

Maybe someone has the Thibs quotes handy, he's addressed it a few times.

The world has told Rose he needs to stop it with the 3's and attack while playing his mid-range game. Problem is Rose is the Sheldon Cooper of the NBA. No matter what the truth is he still thinks he's the best no matter what. Too bad he is more like Peter from Family Guy.
