Re: interesting final regular season stats thread
Bulls regular season record against potential opponents, first number indicates Bulls wins:
1st round:
3-1 Bucks
2nd round:
1-3 Cavs
3-1 Celtics
ECFs:
1-2 Hawks
4-0 Raptors
2-2 Wizards
3-1 Nets
Finals:
1-1 Warriors
1-1 Rockets
1-1 Clippers
1-1 Blazers
1-1 Grizzlies
1-1 Spurs
1-1 Mavericks
2-0 Pelicans
We could still theoretically get our most "preferred" route of Bucks -> Celtics -> Raptors -> Pelicans.
What a ridiculous playoffs that would be.

I find it amazing that the Bulls were the only East team to beat every West team, and also, every other team in the NBA on top of it. Even with all the bad losses especially to bad teams.

Re: interesting final regular season stats thread
Fun thread, and I don't want to de-rail it. That said, I stick with my original assertion going into the season. Our success in the play-offs will have a lot more to do with being healthy than our regular season stats and record. This team his been so injury riddled, but so talented, if healthy. We have 5 guys, each of whom can make/break a series if they are on their game: Rose, Butler, Pau, Noah, and Taj.

Defensive rating after the all-star break:

Not a lot of separation at the top among teams that made the playoffs.

Not a lot of separation at the top among teams that made the playoffs.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

Win % vs Winning teams (.500+ record)
GSW: 78%
ATL: 64.8%
CLE: 60.5%
CHI: 56.7%
SAS: 54.7%
MEM: 53.4%
HOU: 50%
POR: 48.7%
LAC: 41%
So much for WC dominance.
3 of the 4 top teams are EC.
(FYI these are ESPN records, for whatever reason NBA.com and ESPN have slightly different results on vs .500+ team records).
Both GSW & CLE were extremely healthy this year other than Varejao, but they replaced him quickly (and probably upgraded in the process). Bulls have been very impressive given how much time was missed by our main guys.

That chart tells me that the Warriors are runaway favorites to take the West. Well hell, to take everything. 78% against teams with winning records is remarkable. That's better than the 69-win Bulls did in 96-97.

That's interesting those three top east teams were eating west teams alive, impressive 78% by GSW by the way.
So alot of those top west teams were just picking on East bottom feeders

or they had a lot of wins over phoenix and utah teams that would've been over .500 had they played in the east
