Why thank you! :D

He's not a good rebounder or defender.

I think it is time the Bulls cash in on Mirotic and the Charlotte pick.

Probably still not enough. Trying to fit different rumors.

I know the Blazers were inquiring about Jordan. With some creativity this may work.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Not good defensively, poor rebounder for a big, jump shooting big who can get you some volume on not good efficiency. Not horrible efficiency.

One thing to point out, the Bulls don't have to be better than league average efficiency, they have to be better than their opponents. So someone giving volume at 53 or 54% TS is probably helping the team, maybe helping a lot.

Aldridge and Boozer defensively, yikes.

Aldridge and Taj rebounding, could be a bit of an issue too.

He's not that bad defensively. He's pretty underrated there actually. Based on RAPM, he was +2.1 on D (comparison, Deng was +2.7, Taj +5.0, Boozer -0.2).

He's not a plus rebounder, he's not a shotblocker, but he'd be a big upgrade defensively over Boozer.

Aldridge from Portland to Chicago

Gordon from N.O. to PHX and Xavier Henry from N.O. to Chicago

Beasley/Shannon Brown/Dudley from PHX to Portland

Boozer/draft pick from Chicago to N.O.

Bulls trade Boozer/draft pick and land Aldridge/Xavier Henry.

The thing about Aldridge that's always been concerning is that he isn't super-efficient for a player of his stature, size and ability.

Career 53.7%TS, which is worse than two of Boozer's seasons as a Bull.

He IS a good defender. Not great, but good.

It's interesting. I wonder if we could REALLY make a big blockbuster trade along these lines:

Boozer/Hamilton for Humphries/Brooks/#22

Deng for Varejao/19

Varejao+incentives like picks, Brooks, possibly Mirotic go to Portland and we receive Aldridge

We then have to use further incentives/Gibson to get another contributor at the 2/3. It may be as easy as that Carter+13 for our TPE deal.

Marc Stein is reporting the Bulls want Robinson so they can flip him in another deal. Could this be connected to a potential Aldridge trade?

He's been more efficient every year that Boozer's been a Bull.

Boozer: .542, .549, .510

Aldridge: .549, .560, .530

And his turnover rate is nearly non-existent, 4% lower than Boozers, giving him a significant edge in efficiency and volume. Combine that with his isolation ability (54% assisted the past 3 years versus Boozer's 64-73% assisted), his position defense, his ability to play at Center for stretches, his age, his appropriate contract, and his relative good health, and he's a player who's worth getting-- but you've GOT to get a way to reasonably rid yourself of Boozer while getting SOMETHING back valuewise.

Amnestying him means it'll cost you two starters and assets to get Aldridge, and we can't really afford that kind of sacrifice. With the above trade we at least get 2 rotation players and a pick.

Deng + Mirotic for Aldridge seems perfect.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

LOL, seriously. That'd be like someone offering us Beasley, Brown, and Dudley for Noah.
