Is this to much of a pipe dream?

It is within the realm of possibilities, but - as you said - a slim chance.

Don't think any team is silly enough to draft Sexton in the top 6.

Can’t someone just trade them a highly paid veteran star? That seems like Memphis’ ideal scenario. They want established impact, not just to dump Parsons.

You are most definitely right, us and Dallas could put the best package together. But from what I gather is Memphis favors WCJ. I would wait and see what Dallas does. If they somehow can trade to get Doncic from Atlanta, I would stand down and force Memphis’ hand.

Dont overthink it!

Take MPJ, Bamba or Trae Young!

This is the last part of the Butler trade! Swing for the fences, let's add the best player we can & have a Big 4!

This mornings mock from ESPN still has us taking Wendell Carter with Porter (8) and Young (12) on board. It mentions that Sacramento is considering trading down for Porter. Has Dallas taking Bamba at 5, though Cuban likes Porter.

Fox Sports latest mock has us taking Mitchell Robinson at #22, what's everyone think of him?

Memphis is trying to trade down, not out of the lotto. They want to get a top notch young talent to pair with Conley and Gasol so they can return to the playoffs next year.
Memphis is not trying to auction the pick off as a way to just unload Parsons contract.

I am fine with giving them the #7 and #22 for the #4 if that's the case. They can keep the dead weight salary. 2 firsts and only moving down 3 spots is more than fair. That is if the Bulls are confident/competent enough with who they select at #4. Especially if Bagley is available. Same time I am fine with sticking at #7 and #22 as well. Doesn't matter either way to me.

Yeah, now that I really think of it, I don't see them taking on that big of a contract to move up 3 spots. Guys, we're talking about the team that sold their pick because they wanted to MAKE money last year. There's just no way that Reinsdorf is going to OK taking on a contract that large unless it was maybe for the # 1 pick

The question is not whether you take a bad contract to get better. You have to. The question is whether this is the best deal. If you use your flexibility now to get up a few picks you have to make sure it’s for a special player. Because you could also save the flexibility you have to help the Lakers make cap space, etc.

Depends on who is taken with that first pick. If Bulls take a wing then I'm for it. Upside is huge with him.

Would be redundant if Bulls end up with Bamba or Carter though.

I still think the Bulls are about Porter because I can't see someone tanking their stock saying they are going to redshirt unless they have a pretty solid promise and he comes up with something every time Sacramento or Memphis expresses interest. Someone also saying that indirect sources were saying Pax had concerns about the back could be legit but that could also be the Bulls tanking his stock as well. I've seen too much craziness around this that I'm figuring a promise was made and MPJ has been doing everything possible to drop to us. I think teams sniffed this out and started trying to take advantage of us trying to force us to trade up so the Bulls are putting it out hard that they have concerns about Porter's back and want to trade up for Bamba or are looking at Carter. Hard to tell maybe they actually are moving up but I think there is something going on with Porter.

Here's my shot at it.

Ayton
Doncic
Bagley
JJJ (I think Boston gets this trade done but we could probably get it if we really want)
Bamba
Young
Porter

Doesn’t seem that complex to me. Bulls have a plethora of options given their assets.
Swap 7 to clips for 12/13.
Swap 12+22+Portis+Felicio for Mem for 4+Parsons.

Bamba/JJJ/Doncic at 4, Knox/Bridges at 13

Memphis moves down in lottery but can still get an impact wing and saves $$$ while adding a solid young player w some upside.

Wendell Carter's going to be a good player. Hopefully he gets drafted top 6 like he should.

I think the Clips say no there. An alternative is that you throw 22 or Portis into clips deal and take that out of Memphis deal.
