So it sounds like there will be no official exhibition games. And no mini schedule with a tournament similar to summer league. Which means it probably wont be televised. Which also means I don't care about it anymore.

The NBA will find a way to make money off of this. It'll be televised somewhere. If not, what's the point of it for them? It's expensive to keep 8 NBA teams and their staffs in a bubble.

Agreed on that... I thought about it, and I bet if it's scrimmages, they'll air it on NBA TV kinda like they do for the nba combine. I'll watch almost anything Bulls, but I cut it off somewhere. Probably wouldnt watch that. But i guess some people might find it entertaining.

What a pathetic course of action for the NBA to even being pursuing.
The most self-serving thing ever. The fans don't care, players probably don't want it, so why?
Cha-ching, TV-$$$... That''s why! Or is it that epic, can't-miss-TV, Knicks - Cavs Show-down coming up? :-) :-) :-)

If it'll be televised, I'd watch it. Don't even care who's gonna be on the floor. Put Fleming/Rogers in charge as interim head coach until we hire someone proper. I miss me some Bulls basketball.

Perfect. AK has plenty of time to get new coach hired and ready for camp!

If the playoff teams with even a remote championship chance get to play the other 8 can't just be shut out. It really matters since the 8 teams with the worst records are the most likely to end up with new coaches and/or GMs, most have the lottery picks and need to see what they have, what they want and what they need to replace. It helps the players too who might have team options, non guaranteed contracts or are FAs to at least make an impression with some hard work. I'm guessing pressure from those 8 owners and the agents for the players are why the league made this happen.

Well that sucks! So much for the news about a month ago that they were finalizing a second bubble in Chicago for a summer league-like "season". I got myself excited about that. Oh well.
