One thing that last night reminded me of is the one thing that Vuc brings, which the Bulls really didn't have, is a second starting level player next to Lavine who is CONSISTENT.

I went back and looked as his Chicago production - 16 games already (wow) -- only 3 games under 18 points (and that doesn't take into account minutes played). I used 18 points as a cut-off, rather than 20, not because he had two games at 18 points (which still means 11 out of 16 games at 20 points or more) but because I figured if you're looking at 20/10 as a baseline, then giving a +/- 2 points seems a reasonable in terms of measuring consistency. And only 1 game of under 16 points (the 9 points in the stinker against Cleveland).

Giving the same +/- 2 for rebounds, he's only 4 games under 8 rebounds (7, 5, 7, 5); one game at 8 rebounds, the rest 9 or more.

He's far more variable with respect to assists - but assists are much more dependent on how teammates are doing and what the opposing defense is taking/giving.

Adding another player who gives high level consistent production - beyond Lavine - is far from nothing.

All In all ur gonna need a decent defensive 4 or 3 to play with Vuc. But I'd rather be trying to find one of those than trying to find another great rebounding, great shooting, post up threat, like vuc.

This is what people seem to ignore. It is way easier to find defensive compliments. No one is expecting Vuc or Zach to become anything more than average defenders.

The Bulls have 2 of the 3 scorers they need and as bad as White has been he is still very young and could develop into the 3rd one.

It even seems like a couple of players who's names I will not mention suddenly got a wake up call with the Vuc acquisition that they are going to have to play defense to be of value.
