Vooch bought the extra defender. DeMar would have have a better shot if Vooch wasn't also on that side of the floor

The whole play was designed for Vuc and Caruso/Ball to switch sides during the in-bounds action, though. Can't blame him for that. Maybe Ball should've flared to mid-arc on that side so the two of them weren't right next to each other in the corner, also.

Take it up with Donovan. He called the play. I don’t think the ball was ever meant to go to Zach,

Billy just said it was drawn up for him or Demar and sounds like Demar took it and was hoping to draw a foul with the pump fake

Thibs shut down Zach and DDR which is standard course of action. Vuc stepped up tonight, and we have Ball and Williams, plus Coby. If any two of those guys click, Bulls beat Thibs scheme. I'll take them in a first round series. Team lose when they get frustrated (Zach read this) to Thibs teams. Just stay steady and you can win.

He was amazing on Randle. Everyone talks about the rebounds, but really it was the 3s that killed us. I think we should just go one of one against Randle. In this game Kemba was red hot from 3 which was the biggest difference. Also I think we allowed them to double us too easily. This is where I said we would have really needed Coby this game. If they let Coby those wide open shots they would get killed. Ball, Brown,Caruso had looks but couldnt hurt the Knicks like they should have. We will adjust to this.

Maybe Derrick Jones Jr's contract can be used to bring in another big?

Hopefully Pats healthy and again get a back up 5 or give Bradley more PT, Alize is nice for a end of the bench reserve for certain small matchups but he's unplayable vs bigger teams.

This was a bummer. Didn’t like how the bulls played all game long but despite that they almost stole the game away. Really sucks though that the Knicks gave us our first loss on Noah night in the UC.

That's some kind of James Harden lame ass last second mentality right there. Just hit the shot.

Ice Man wrote:Well, at least Zach got to the free throw line.

On roster construction, we have by my count four midsized Try Hard, athletic guys in Green, Brown, Johnson, and Caruso who don't score very well. That's two more than we need. Getting Coby back will help our bench scoring punch. Then we need to move a couple of those extra Try Hard 6' 6" guys for a Try Hard 6' 10" guy who can rebound, block shots, and body up opponents.

Give Tony Bradley a chance. He’s that 6’10 guy. Need more spacing. Coby will help, need another vet who can shoot

Knicks played the exact game they wanted to play and a new team honestly almost won. I think we are as good as the knicks if not better by playoff time. Now the Knicks might also click. RJ might start rolling soon and they can be dangerous, but if you live and die by Randle.... well good luck in the post season

Yeah Bradley has more size which is needed and he should be the back up center.

Knicks are the better team in terms of talent, IMO. They showed it. That said, I LOVED our lack of quit and defense. We had a chance to win with the ball in one of our shooters hands...I couldn't have asked for more. Their shots fell and ours didn't. Kudos to the Bulls for having 25 asts to only 7 TO's against a tough defense.

Our big 3 all contributed 20+ points despite a tough shooting night. Kudos to Vuc for finding his range from 3.

Ball going 1 for 6 from 3 was the difference tonight, but I want him to be taking 6 3's a game, and he had a tough defensive assignment against Randle and did a good job.

Caruso is such a joy to watch out there. What a tough SOB!

I thought Brown showed up a bit better tonight too.

Not happy Pat hurt his wrist, but maybe he'll sit for a few games and get right, and we can try other rotations. With Pat going down, I was really hoping to see some DJJ. Did that dude sleep with Billy's wife?

Good to see Bradley out there. He didn't look bad.

I think tonight was a little too big for Ayo, but it was good experience.

We played pretty poorly, missed a ton of wide open looks, and still lost by 1, BTW.

Sure we have some holes to fill, but we basically just saw their entire season-long gameplan in the 5th game of the season

Honest question. Do you really think Lonzo Ball can stop Julius Randle man on man? Randle has to have 40lb on him and can simply bully him inside. The Bulls don't even think that because they rotated to Randle when he was isolated and that led to easy buckets and open 3s. Also you run the risk of getting Lonzo into foul trouble early if you stick him on Randle.

Lets see Randle's numbers when the two play again. I suspect he had an off night more than anything.

Lonzo didn't have possession of the ball, so it was just a loose ball foul. That one was correct unlike any of the blatantly bad calls like Randle dancing a jig in the lane posting up Lonzo or Zach and DeMar consistently getting whacked for free or the hip check screens that never get called.
