Didn't you get the memo? Nobody under 6'8" without shoes and a 7'0" wingspan.

Can’t see how he doesn’t fall short with “next Durant” hype. Just cause a guy gets a comp, doesn’t mean he’s gonna be that guy. The list of failures goes around the world and back again.

Like this kid a lot. Incredible motor and edge. Great length. High iQ potential. He sees the floor and anticipates. FT is really good 3 ball not so much yet.

College Season and 2022 Draft Prospects Thread #1

Post#109 » by StunnerKO » Sat Jan 8, 2022 10:04 pm

Shidddd I’ll take Bates , people forgetting he’s basically younger than 95% of the college players he Should be in high school still . he’s gonna be alright not to mention penny has been playing as a Point instead a wing I guess to increase his ball handling situation and awareness . Not to mention Memphis was a horrible situation for him to go there he prob should have stayed with Michigan State or G League that school wasn’t the right fit for him. All of these struggles in the end will make him a better player . Emoni doesn’t turn 18 till Jan 28th this also is a 10 game sample size everyone is basing this off of , come back to me when he’s 20-22 years old. You don’t get overrated accomplishing the things he did in high school but he shouldn’t have reclassified I will say he’s still a lottery pick come the 2023 draft and his stock might even improve if he adapts and learn how you think a talented player should.

Obinna Anochili-Killen seems like a sneaky great prospect to me.

Could fit wonderfully for us at the 4.

I doubt he declares though.

Has that clown Fischella posted in here yet with his fugazy ultra-confident and terrible draft prospect analysis? Curious about his take on Ayo since he repeatedly insulted him as a prospect saying he wasn’t even an NBA prospect at all who should not even get drafted.

Not that there’s anything wrong with being wrong about draft prospects. But there’s a difference between wrong and arrogantly and condescendingly wrong.

As I watch my Hoosiers all I can think of is “Man, if we had Jackson Davis right now we would not be losing.” Kid plays big, aggressive and that left hand is a big advantage. Most mocks have him in the 2nd round.

I feel the same way about him. He dunks on everyone. Him and Trevion Williams are my two PFs to draft.

We may have to buy a 2nd round pick this year.

This does not apply to the Bulls, and I have no idea if he’ll declare this year or where he’ll get drafted some day, but if any of you just want to have fun and soak in the refreshing personality of a guy who plays his ass off and is clearly playing for the love of the game and life that’s just written all over his face, watch Andre Curbelo now that he’s finally playing again.

This dude just makes me happy. Imagine if everyone participated with such joy.

With our own pick in the upcoming draft we are likely to be picking in the mid 20s. Not a lot of sure thing prospects down there. I'd be interested in taking Kofi Cockburn quite honestly. He'd provide size and rebounding. He already developed a two man game with Ayo while playing at Illinois. And most importantly he would give us a guy that could retaliate the next time some punk like Grayson Allen puts one of our guys on the IR with an unnecessary cheap shot foul. Kofi is having a standout season. He just beat Wisconsin almost single handedly with 37 & 12 last night. Sure, he has limitations. But he seems to have improved his mobility since last season. And his shooting percentage from close in is impressive. Ayo would get a lot of assists passing to him while he gave Vooch a breather. And he'd be a hell of a screener. The man is a walking wall out there. BD could game plan around his limitations with all the perimeter defenders we have on our roster. If you needed stops you could throw out a lineup of Ayo, Caruso, Ball, Javonte and Kofi. And he's 6 extra fouls vs the likes of Giannis and Embid. Make Giannis beat you from the outside. The only 2 other guys I've watched so far this season likely to be available when we pick that might give us some size and defensive/rebounding help are Mark Williams of Duke and Christian Koloko of Arizona who is more of a project. Williams could provide bench minutes as a rookie.

Koloko… Rudy Gobert vibes.

Would be interesting to see what BillyD could do with our small ball and an elite defensive big like Koloko.

I saw one mock draft, I forgot which one, that has us taking Walker Kessler of Auburn. He had 7 blocks in a recent game against Alabama. His stat line for that game was 14 point on 8 shots, 12 rebounds, 7 blocks and 4 steals. Against LSU in late December he put up 16 points, 11 blocks and 10 rebounds. He averages over 4 blocks a game. We're going to be drafting in the last 1/4 of the draft but I still think we can get a quality player with some size.
