Seeing how bad Bradley has been in starters minutes really emphasizes our need for another big. Someone who can play 4 and small ball 5. Bradley cannot be your second best true big.

Bradley can defend the rim, rebound and not much else. I don't know why anyone is surprised by that fact.

Also, I think people are way overrating Nance. Production-wise, he's really not doing anything more than DJJ is doing, and DJJ's advanced metrics are better across the board(though yes, some of that is due to being on a better team).
DJJ:
5.9ppg/3.2rpg/0.4apg in 16.9mpg on 25/0% 3P, 58.6% FG, 100% FT
73.5% TS
4.0 BPM
.238 WS/48
Nance:
5.6ppg/4.7rpg/1.4apg in 18.3mpg on 30.0% 3P, 51.6% FG, 56.3% FT
57.2% TS
-0.5 BPM
.103 WS/48
I don't think this team is different at all with Nance instead of DJJ. Nance is two inches taller, yes, but his 6'7' is still undersized for the PF position.
Nance has historically been a much better player. This is too small of a sample size to declare them equals, IMO. Also, Nance is a significantly better rebounder and passer (career per 36 he averages nearly 10 rebounds and 3 assists). Because of that, we'd be able to run similar sets for him that we do for Vuc which would be helpful.
DJJ has done a really solid job and I like what he brings, but he's not as good as Nance.
I just don't agree. I mean, per your arguments, Nance might be marginally better than DJJ, but I don't think having Nance instead of DJJ would make any difference whatsoever to the ultimate outcome of our season. I obviously acknowledge the hole in our roster - we need a starting PF, but Nance has never been a full-time starter in his career. He doesn't fill our hole imo. Besides, DJJ is a better potential trade asset with his expiring deal.
To me, it's more than marginal (if Nance is healthy). Here's their career per 36 stats:
Nance: 12.2 ppg, 9.9 RPG, 2.8 apg, 1.8 spg, 0.8 bpg, 33% 3PT, 16.6 PER
D. Jones: 12 ppg, 6.2 RPG, 1.3 apg, 1.2 spg, 1.3 bpg, 29% 3PT, 13.4 PER
Nance helps our rebounding more which is a big issue. He's able to match up better with PFs physically. He's shown to be better at moving the ball, especially in recent years. I don't know, it just seems like a miss to me. Nance is very easily the type of guy who could be the final piece on a championship run, IMO.

Bradley sucks, good lord. On the other hand Demar is making a legit case for MVP early. Wow.

I was really hoping we'd pull Paul Milsap as the cherry on the cherry in free agency. If he'd signed in Chicago I'd have declared the Bulls a title contender right then and there.
