People giving BDonovan a hard time need to eat some crow for how he's got this team buying in on defense. Legit top-5 defense without Lonzo and with Caruso in & out.

I'd be okay with that if I thought there was potential for growth and it was something to build on for next year. However, I think there's a chance that the team might be worse next season (unfortunately).
I agree with you and aren't okay with that either.
I think we're screwed if nothing changes during post season.
Yeah, I agree. If things continue on as they have post All Star Break, and all we are is the second best team in the league in net points differential, what’s the use? Might as well blow it up and embark on an exciting six-year tank. Can’t wait!
Obviously it's more exiting to be in the playoffs than not be and we all want the Bulls to win. However, there's a good chance that this team has the same result as last year (first round exit). If there was a young player, or two, who had shown potential I'd feel different about this because I could see it as something to build upon.
As it stands the vets are who they are and the young players have been underwhelming. I wouldn't be surprised if next year the Bulls go in with basically the same roster again.

If you find a PG solution with 23 games to play, and he turns your team into the second best team in the league based on net rating, and as a result you rise from 12th place to the playoffs only to fall in the first round to one of the best teams in the league with more playoff experience, then I think you look at it as a positive outcome that generates hope for next year. But call me crazy.

The Bulls have been moving between the 10th and 12th place for a few weeks now. Maybe they continue the winning streak and pass a few more teams? I guess we'll find out.
I'm glad that the Bulls are doing better, but the teams future can't rely on a 34 year old point guard they got off the waiver wire.
Regardless, if the Bulls were going to tank they would've put that into motion at the trade deadline. That ship has sailed.

PatBev is not our long term PG solution, but for the next year or two? Why not? He’s showing no signs of decline. He makes everyone much better and plugs a gaping hole.
Just because he came to us after a post-trade cut by a rebuilding team? That’s not a thought process that I can support.

If you believe the Bulls can play like that consistently you can be right. What would be the reason ( or reasons ) for that kind of change?PatBev effect? Sacking Ayo and Pat from the starting lineup? Better coaching?
