Celtics is unconscious from 3. Just scratch this one out. At least we're competing.

The defensive awareness is terrible tonight. White just hit a 3, Drummond is still dropping too deep, and nobody boxes out Kornet again.

Puts perspective on the pre 3-point line NBA.

We got bamboozled 2nd half. Against most good teams they have a gear we just don't. Even just having one of Pat or Craig available tonight would have been huge, but nah, we're down 3 of our top 8 guys.

Game result aside, Ayo is playing with more confidence. He's asserting himself more and made some plays out of his NBA norm. A flash of Illinois Ayo.

Two teams that are moving in different directions overall.

I mean honestly right, what in the world do the bench have to do to get in the game? We are short handed, Coby and Demar are playing an insane about of minutes and you are down 20. Clear the freaking bench!

Billy needs to use his freaking head.

He's probably not thinking about the team's future (much like the front office).

True, but it is also true that he is the Bulls' #1 future hope. That is a dangerous position to be in. Zach was there a few years back, as a guy who wasn't a #1 option being regarded as one by Bulls fans, and the backlash against Zach today for not meeting that expectation is something fierce. I would be unhappy if Coby suffered the same fate. Let's let him being who he is.

Zach was a big part of the Butler trade so many people were thinking/hoping that he'd help lead the way. That didn't work out, but he did make it to two all-star games.

As for Coby he's 23 years old and took a big leap forward this season. Whatever else happens the rest of the way this year I'll still consider it a win in regards to him.

Next year maybe he shows a little more improvement?

I don't think fans will turn on him because he's not in the same situation that Zach was. For one they make a different salary (Coby doesn't make "#1 player money") and two Coby doesn't make bad decisions like Zach does from time to time.

Pre AK, the biggest complain on Zach wasn't even the money it was that he wasn't leading us to the playoffs. That same complaint is mainly being born by Derozan now, and most people want him gone.

If that actually happens, that blame will then shift to Coby White, and he's not good enough to lead us to an actual playoff series either. The fact that he's on a bargain contract won't matter anymore than when Zach was making $18M. I'm already seeing grumbling about his defense (Derrick White absolutely destroyed us).

History is just repeating itself. For the Bulls time is a flat circle.

If DeMar is gone that means the team is moving in a new direction. If that happens I'd like to think fans won't turn on Coby.

Salary only matters because Zach was expected to be a number 1 option. Coby never was.

Celts shot light out 45% on 47 3s.

We shot 35% on 28 3s.

ATA boy AK with that “shot profile.”

Nobody is turning on Coby. These reactionary chicken little posts are ridiculous to be quite honest.

We don’t even belong in the same league as Boston. They are what the Bulls could be if run competently.

People are already pinning future hopes on Coby and Ayo. That will be a very underwhelming if those are our two best player. Coby White looks like a great 3rd option on a contender. Maybe a 2nd option if he takes another massive leap. He will never be a 1st option a legit great team. He would literally have to be Steph Curry level. Unrealistic.
