3 blocks and 2 steals too... Not to mention efficient scoring.

They are still special and rare for anyone not named LeBron, Luka, Jokic or Giddey… 8-)

Ehh, not really, especially if you're comparing to a decade ago and before.

Shout out to Vuc too. We don’t talk about him because he has not future here, but he’s playing well.

Lebron has been a triple double machine for most of his career which is 20 plus years now.

Coby turned his no show into a merely bad night with those clutch 4th quarter buckets. Such a weird decision to rest him yesterday.

Hopefully well enough for someone to take him off our books this summer.

He's an exception. League-wide triple doubles have increased exponentially over the past decade or so.

Last season there were 148 triple doubles. A decade prior during the 2013-14 season there were 46.

The only problem is that we probably won’t want to take any long term money back. I’d rather not get any more mediocre players that will be on contract past next we season.

We’ll probably want to exchange him for someone else on an expiring deal or just have a team just absorb his salary(unlikely).

An underrated part of our resurgence is the demotion of Pat in the rotation. On nights like tonight he would have killed us if he played 30 minutes.

Damn, we really are gonna have to max Giddey aren’t we?

Oh well. I always liked him in OKC and liked the trade, but damn and holy shyte he’s good. Never saw this coming.

Credit where due: AK played the Caruso situation like a maestro. Signed Caruso to one of the best value deals in the NBA and then as his contract was expiring traded him for a 23 year old 6’8 pg playing like he’s third team all-NBA.

Giddey will never reach free agency.

I'm coming around to the idea that a 4Y/180 contract is what he'll get from us. It just outpaces the max he'd be able to get from Brooklyn.

We're gonna be a lot less rosy on Giddey and Coby when we're paying them $40M+ per year unless they play like this pretty much all the time.

At that price they'll have to lead us to non-play-in playoff appearances on a yearly basis to justify it.

23 is old as dirt. Luckily he’s still 22.

I never ever consider it likely, nor would I ever criticize a player for not doing it, but I could see him agreeing to a little less than Brooklyn’s max to stay. This dude wreaks of “oh my god I’m so lucky and happy to be here.”

And don’t underestimate how much being loved by the fans might mean to Giddey after the B.S. he endured from fans last year.

Tonight was the end of uncertainty. He won’t hit the open market.
