Makes more sense for the Bulls if they moved on from Coby as well, replaced him with Simons and whoever else they get, (another center)?. Or they can simply keep both Coby and Simons and let them both chuck 3s all game long lol.

Guard heavy team would get even more guard heavier? Yeah make sense, NOT

You're right it would, but the way I look at our roster is that I look at playable guys only because if we're the bad ones, we're likely losing regardless of position. Also, I don't like to get wrapped up with Guard vs. Forward labels because one person could call Giddey a PG and another a SF or even a PF. As it stands we have Coby, Okoro, Giddey, Matas, Collins, Smith, and I'll begrudgingly add Vuc and Ayo to the list of playable players. I'm sure Noa will get entitlement minutes (with negative bpms). If we exclude Vuc (because I want him traded badly), that's 8 guys and no position seems overweighted.

It could essentialy make sense if they are moving Coby for Kuminga as rumored. You replace Coby for Simons, and Vuc for Kuminga, i'd say it would be a win for the team. Team still would not be anywhere near great, but young guys all looking to prove themselves and work together at a future, has potential to be a great start for the franchise.

GIddey, Simons, Matas, Kuminga, Smith? and Ayo, Huerter, Okoro, Williams, Collins with Phillips, Essengue, Terry and Carter on deep bench and one more spot to fill. Looks like another treadmill play-in team in the East!

If they trade Coby in a separate deal then yes it would. Simons would just replace Coby’s role. This is all just hypothetical to see if this Boston rumor has any legs.

Besides there’s no such thing as “guard heavy “ for the Bulls. Billy would gladly add 3 more guards to the roster if possible. He don’t even care for big guys.

I wonder how much Clarkson or Russ will cost in FA? I think I'd prefer to resign THT if we have space.

Ulrich Comche is only on a 2 way deal with Toronto. I'd love to grab him somehow.

But I'd hate to trade Coby and essentially replace him with a worse version of himself. If we trade him, I want a different look at the two -- big, athletic, defender.

If we end up with a slot for a vet min add, IIRC Javonte is out there...just sayin' maybe Matas isn't the right solution at PF. ;)

If we could resign Giddey our summer is done now that Tre Jones is signed.

Our lineup has 4 starters: White, Giddey, Matas and Vucevic (because of BD)
the 5th starting spot will change depending on injury-situation and opponents between:
- Jones
- Ayo
- Huerter and
- Okoro

- Collins
- PWilliams (should be in G-League from mpov) and
- Smith
will round out the rotation.

Essenghe will get spot minutes here and there.

I really can't see regular minutes for Carter, Terry and Phillips.

That's because there hasn't been a public admission. Only unquoted speculation.

That and no GM doesn’t know the score with that one. There is no subterfuge that can be applied to PWill. It is like a classified add for a car and saying yeah car has issues best offer, mechanics special.
