I wonder who will look better.
But Chicago isn't paying a lot for its collection, which is the key. Felicio isn't overpaid for a back-up C...it's just that he's overpaid for his level of play.
Well drafting them to be your core is a high means of paying for your big man rotation.
We have yet to see it pan out for anybody except Embiid/PHI. Possibly JJJ and the Grizzlies, but they got the creator in Morant, and they traded a declined retirement-ready Marc for JV.
Lesson learned there, is that if you really want a good starting center, you pretty much trade an expiring contract and a late 1st for your choice of Capela, Valanciunas, Stevens, etc. I don’t think Drummond would demand more than a 10-12 pick in this crap draft.
Or better yet, you sign a bunch of wash ups to vet min contracts, like McGee and Howard, who still seem to do the job.
They addressed the easiest positions in their 3 tank drafts. Undersized SG, C, and a soft PF. Sure they make $6m each or so, but you lost so many games and such a player (Jimmy) to get 3 low assets?
Notice how Isaac in ORL has played less games and has had equal health issues, yet that guy can command a strong offer... because he’s a high ceiling two way wing. That’s what you draft for. Guys you can’t just trade Evan Turner and a late 1st for.
