No one has controlled Lance his entire life. He doesn't even listen to Larry Bird, he's not gonna all of a sudden listen to Jo and Taj. If Lance ever gets himself in line it'll be because he's finally sought out the mental help he needs and he does it himself.

This is what really worries me, especially because Bird is such a staunch advocate of his.

Yet Larry wants him back.

Because he thinks he can tame him. That doesn't mean he's right.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

Im trying not to comment on this FA, but cmon, we never had a real shot at Carmelo, we are talking about a difference of about 10M per year, nobody in his right mind would leave that on the table.

@ESPNSteinLine: Joakim Noah and the Bulls were in LA to court Pau Gasol today. Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra are up next. Yesterday it was KD and Westbrook

Dont really want Mirotic. Would prefer McDermott. MDJ is gett old. Snell is a bum. At best an average 3 d player.

Thats a pretty terrible offer honestly. I think Bulls fans think they will sign him outright which isnt going to happen.

But thanks for being the only person to actually answer my question.

Wow he only gave you one first rounder? Lol
I thought itd be more like this:

Boozer
2015 1st (and 2nd?)
2017 1st (and 2nd?)
SAC pick
Snell
Mirotic or mcdermott (not both)
And mdj

Id accept that deal. Whether or not it was Mirotic or Mcdermott. But i would prefer MCD. And if i had to take Mirotic, i would want Bairstow in the deal. Or maybe just ask for him in general, idk what his value is.

You can't give us news like this and not elaborate!!!!

If it's not Taj, it must be Boozer.

Is he credible?

I'm assuming no.

Can't remember. But I think he's mad comments on here before about bulls insider stuff.....I could be totally wrong though

We have so many random posters on this board who actually do know stuff from time to time, that I can't keep track

Here is where you are getting confused. You're assuming the injuries have made him a lesser player physically when the ACL did not do that and the meniscus isn't going to do that (Westbrook). Yes he was rusty and he probably will be to start next season but that goes away as you play. Not being as quick, lacking elevation those are sign of past injuries taking a toll. People have to stop confusing rust with actual physically diminished skills which is what you've done.

We never saw the ACL fully played out though and I am only speaking from Melos perspective. 10 games most not good the last few well really good. He refused to come back after the ACL. Perhaps by no means sure that may have contributed to the MCL. Now questioning to play with team USA. Just talking from Melos perspective who saw granted a much much lesser player in Shumpert come back and having to deal with Amare, you might understand that he might have a question mark or two.

What is more likely to happen. Rose stays healthy or a rookie coach and general manager put together a championship roster? I think Melo saw the ACL as just fine win Derrick hit the game winner against them at the United Center. Plus Melo defended Derrick about how he handled the ACL injury saying people need to lay off him and let him do his rehab and not rush him. Has Shumpert lost any quickness or athleticism since his ACL tear nope. See you can't say Westbrook and Rose isn't a fare comparison but throw in Amare'. Amare' had micro fracture surgery and a degenerative knee condition which is much worse than anything Rose has had.
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Their was no mental impact from the ACL but their is going to be one from a much lesser injury? Again Rose was shutting down Lillard and Irving so his later quickness was there. Westbrook had 3 surgeries in less than one year on the same knee Derrick has one and he won't be the same? The logic in that doesn't make sense.

I missed the first part. When have injuries in sports not diminished a player? Adrian Peterson perhaps. Some come back no doubt. Derricks game is pretty psychical though. Minimal play in three years is as I said kinda new ground. It has gotten better medically without a doubt. That being said though why wouldn't Melo question it?

No way Jo was recruiting Pau to take Taj's spot. Gotta be after him for the MLE as our 3rd big and as another piece to help woo Melo.
