What does this mean? He's under contract for 2 more seasons (a horrible one @ $18M per year).

if anyone is in position to choose his own trade destination, it is Evan Turner

Anybody interested in Wall or Beal? I imagine one will have to be moved this summer. Huge salaries and a crappy underperforming season. That team just isn't gelling.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I really want Miles Bridges in addition to whoever we draft at 6. So I'd like to trade up.

I like a guy that likes Miles Bridges.

Man, while usually that would be enticing,
It would take minutes and cap away from the young core the bulls are building.

Couple things would have to fall in place for Beal to make sense, namely letting Zach walk. It's an interesting debate.

Obviously yes. But why would the Knicks move down from 9 to 22 just to shed salary? They are insanely rich. And if its for cap space, that's an enormous draft sacrifice to make a run at the market. 'They'd basically have to have a back door promise from someone that they couldn't otherwise sign outright without the trade.

Their motivation is that KP is disgruntled on not being on a playoff team and a draft pick won't help their near-term prospects.

Speaking of trades...Kawhi not?

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/249574/Steve-Mills-James-Dolan-Wants-Us-To-Be-Patient-With-Knicks-Rebuild

Seems like NYK won't be trading their pick. However.....that might tee up an alternative. 6+22+Portis+filler for Porzingis. NYK kick starts their rebuild with 2 top 10, a good young big, and 22. I'd even throw in something else. Bulls take on Porzingis along with injury risk. By midseason, you roll out a lineup of Dunn-LaVine-Nwaba-Laura-Kristaps.

In that trade we would also have a boatload of free agent money. It would be dam expensive after that however.

Very out of the box idea - Ingram and LAL '19 pick for the 6th pick.

Why not? Ingram is a 2nd overall pick who was a better prospect than the guys we're looking at in our range and is slowly living up to expectations, and we get another likely lottery pick out of it.

Who’s the guys in our range you talking about. I followed Ingram from highschool through the pros. He has gotten better for sure but has a lot of work to do. Keep in mind Ingram’s draft class was weaker compared to this one. You never know who will drop in the draft. My top 6 in this draft are Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, Bamba, Jaren Jackson, Porter Jr, I would take Ingram definately over Mikal Bridges. Porter Jr was considered the better prospect coming out of highschool but got injured. If he’s healthy and regains his form I take Porter JR over Ingram and I have seen both play in person live multiple times. you can make a case for taking Ingram over Bamba, Jaren Jackson, but I would rather keep the pick. LAkers 19
Pick probably won’t be that good anyway.

Washington would since they value Oubre alot. Personally not a fan of Oubre, such an average player.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

I'd do that trade all day and twice on Sunday. Lakers might do that if they sign Paul George and Lebron this summer. Lakers would have Ball, George, Lebron and Kuzma so Ingram's minutes would be on the decline and frankly he'd be redundant. With the 6 pick, Lakers could pick up Bamba or Carter or even draft Trae Young since Ball and Lebron will be doing most of the ball handling and he'd be doing what he does best by stretching the floor and knocking down 3s.

Dunn, Lavine, Ingram, Markenen would make an exciting young, athletic; a very suspect defensive team, but fun to watch!

Why on Earth would LA ever do that? Ingram is on his way to being a really good player, maybe even all star level. Made a really nice jump this year. There isn't anyone available at #6 who is a better prospect than Ingram right now.

The best part of this ridiculous trade is you have LA giving up a 1st round pick too

It was based on a premise posted by a Lakers fan about what young C the Lakers can get for Ingram. Bamba is a top tier C prospect, and will be just starting his rookie deal, which increases their cap flexibility window. Perhaps the '19 pick is overkill, depends how much you value Ingram.

I wouldn’t call it fleecing. You’re getting a 24 year old All Star. You gotta give up a lot to get that.

LA would laugh in our faces at that deal. They would laugh at Ingram for #6 straight up
