It’s amazing. If he ever gets to play on a team that isn’t full of scrubs there’s no limit to what he can do. And the crazy thing is he does it all in slow motion. He’s one of the most unique players in NBA history.

Both Luka and Jokic prove its not all athleticism. Knowing how and when to move is as important. To a big part of it late stage MJ proved that too as does Lebron, he uses size and position more than speed. Athleticism keeps you competitive when you don’t have the skill set of these guys though.

I think Trae belongs on that list too- what physical traits does he have?

A hairline that distracts defenses. It opens up driving lanes and passing lanes for him. You all laugh at it but it is a weapon.

They have the best coach in the NBA & insane star talent & depth. Boston is a franchise that is on the downswing, and they’ve also got cheap ownership.

Utah is only bigger stage than OKC. Certainly not Boston.

I know when I think "Mecca of Basketball," the first place that comes to mind is "Vivint Arena."

MPJ with an insane start. Full props to denver for that pick and patience developing. 22 points so far in the 1st quarter. Sweet stroke with a high release and making it look easy in game 6 of the playoffs.

The painful thing about MPJ isn't that we were just one of many teams to pass on him. He wanted to be a Bull, and gave us his medical records and no other team initially. Other teams had to go to Paxson to get his medicals. He signed with Bartelstein, which is known for getting their guys to Chicago.

But IIRC most of this board wanted nothing to do with him either, and it wasn't really about his surgery. The concern was that he was a shooter who didn't play defense and didn't look as good as Durant. Which is still all true in Denver.

I didn’t want him. I thought his video looked pretty crappy for supposedly the #1 prospect in his class. I thought he would be Rashard Lewis.

In hindsight, and based on additional medical information that has come out, it appears he was having back issues back then as well. Which explains perhaps why in the videos we had access to he looked so upright and rigid.

That was an amazing stretch of shooting for 12 minutes, no doubt about it. But dayum, he has completely disappeared since then.

I wonder what Portland is going to do. They underachieve in the playoffs each year. They need to come back with some new personnel next season. I wonder if it's time to try and upgrade CJ or Nurkic. Love both players, but they just can't get it done as a group.

Watching the Lakers getting demolished is extremely satisfying.

You'll know it's officially over when LeBron gets "injured" and has to head back to the locker room so he's not around when the 4th Qtr clock strikes 0:00

I hated Miami LeBron. I don’t hate him anymore. I actually have a lot of respect for him in a variety of ways.

But as I was watching Phoenix quickly pull away and AD leave the game, the first thing I wondered was how quickly LeBron would blame the condensed schedule and/or play in format.

Would it be tonight? A week? This summer in a random interview? Next training camp? It’s not a question of if. Just when.

I agree with this, except I still hate him. Dude is still always trying to create some story line for himself. He talked about seeing three baskets and aiming for the middle one against the Warriors, but why did he not see three shot clocks? Dude is still a diva. All time great player, but diva.

I can respect his accomplishments, and the improvements he's made to his game over the years. But still hate him for his blatant flopping and the way he acts like he's broken a bone every time someone touches him.

And for the way he's going to blame the condensed schedule, the play-in, the short off-season, Covid...
