OOT, but.... when all this done.. there'll be one thing in common between GarPax and AKME... they both love Felicio on the team! who would've thought all that's left is Felicio! lolololol...

Could see Coby going with an asset coming back.
Coby, Lauri and Felicio for Brogdon works financially. Almost a complete franchise makeover.
Would love Brogdon but doubt Pacers trade him to division rival as many teams will want his services.

Re: Lonzo Ball Thread (UPDATE: Bulls Offer Sato + 2nd Round picks)
I'm really glad the NOP rumors didn't materialize into some kind of Lonzo/Adams/Bledsoe blockbuster involving our FRP. Would've been a froth trade with a bad future.
Sato & two 2nds was a good offer (NOP should take IMO, they might even win the deal).
Markannen is a fair offer.
Quite honestly, if Artunas has decided Lonzo is the guy to pursue, as I always say... why bother counting dollars on your investment? Either he pants out as a Bulls starter, in which case the difference between $18-25m is negligible, or he's an underwhelming rotation player who should be moved.
If Bulls want him for $25m, they can probably figure out the cap... and it would be very funny to see NOP match that offer, with Bledsoe on the books and Kira/Hart/NAW hanging around waiting for a playing opportunity. I'm just not understanding what NOP is trying to do here other than artificially kick Lonzo's trade value. He's a RFA. No one is giving up a top-15 pick for him right now.
The big problem with Boozer, Wallace and Wade weren't their price-tags; it was that their games were showing declines and spiked down after the contracts. GarPax always had a distorted idea of FA value, where they considered the "bargain" more than the "on-court impact."

IMO, if I were NO, I'd ask for Coby and put a restraining order in place, in case he thinks about dribbling. With point-Zion and Ingram, you need gunners, not Lonzo, which is why he's on the move to begin with. Coby as a gunner wasn't half bad earlier this year. As a starting PG he was a train-wreck, as a backup PG he's a train-wreck, but that 10-15 game stretch where he didn't get to do anything but spot up, he was a pretty decent player. Not sure why we went away from that the last 10 games.
Lonzo is smart enough to know Zion and Ingram are worlds better than him at putting the ball in the hoop so he's rightfully deferred all year.
I really don't get what people see in him, however. Not with his current or previous play. There's something that's captivating fans' imagination--whether it's because he was a 2nd pick or something. I watched him on the Lakers--dude is NOT a floor general. He doesn't drive or break down the D. He only shoots if there's nobody in the same zip code. His raw numbers are mediocre. His advanced stats are mediocre at best. People say he's a good defender--maybe individually, but it's a team game and his teams have always been bad-to-mediocre on D, so he doesn't move the needle there either.
I am yet to see somebody explain to me why he's worth more than Sato, who can be argued is a better 5th banana than him.
That guy you think you're getting is not the Lonzo that currently plays for NO, or played for the Lakers. He's not a Jason Kidd or a Steve Nash, or a John Stockton. He's a smart dude who's left the big boys to do all the heavy-lifting on his current team... and his team is better off for it.
But seriously, why the infatuation with him?

I’d be fine adding Coby to a Lauri offer for Ball if we got something back like Alexander-Walker or even Hernangomez.

I think the issue with AK is that 29 other teams like him less than AK does. AK doesn't love Felicio. He just hates him slightly less than 29 other teams do.

I’d move White and Lauri for Ball and Alexander-Walker. I actually wouldn’t hesitate to move either player.

Another option is sending lauri or coby to a 3rd team letting them send their pick to new Orleans to work out the ball deal.

We have one move left in the tank to clear the GarPax trash. Hopefully, AK can get it done.

I wonder what's going on. Things seemed very busy between like 11AM and 1PM ET but it's been real quiet for the last hour. Not just for the Bulls, for everyone. I wonder if there will be another rush of activity in the last 30-60mins before the deadline.

NO is asking too much for Lonzo. Either nothing happens, or NO comes to their senses during the last 15 minutes and they accept whatever offer they think is best of the ones still on the table. My bet currently is Lonzo does not get moved because of NO is too greedy.

Do the Bulls have enough cap space to sign Lonzo Ball in the offseason after the Vucevic trade?

Bulls has $24 million to spend on Lauri or Lonzo or FA.

Re: Lonzo Ball Thread (UPDATE: Bulls Offer Sato + 2nd Round picks)
I think getting Vuc significantly diminishes the odds of the Bulls getting Ball... or at least offering the farm for him. You don't need a Ball in coach D's system--you need a playmaking big like Vuc with guys who can bomb 3s and cut well.
P.S. The Nuggets offered Bol Bol and a year's supply of steaks last time around. If that's still the offer on the table--yeah I'm not taking that if I am NO. BTW, Ball makes no sense on the Nuggets--their system works because Jokic gets 105 touches a game. In no universe am I taking the ball out of his hands to put it into Lonzo's.

So they could move Markkanen for a future 1st and then just sign Lonzo in the offseason.
