Wade has national advertising campaigns starring him and him only for Nike/Jumpman, Gatorade, etc. I'm sure that's where he makes his bear-share of endorsement money. Rose is doing a great job for himself in going into his third year, and playing in Chicago probably has helped that, but what I'm saying is that Wade has pretty much maxed out his potential.

In the USA, maybe ... Internationally, he actually has pretty low profile (compared to Kobe or LBJ) ... Playing for the (championship winning) Bulls would heavily increase his income, especially from abroad ...

Colangelo speaks

That's pretty interesting. I think the rumors that Toronto not wanting to help Miami is true. I would imagine Chicago and especially Houston are likely destinations. I feel like it was kind of dumb for Bosh to be so outspoken about his insatiable desire for the 6th year. He should take a page out of the Bull's FO book and stop chirping all over twitter.

If Wade wants a true 6-year max contract and wants to play for the Bulls, I don't think a sign-and-trade is out of the question. This assumes the number one reason he decides to leave is his kids. The honorable thing for the Heat to do is respect his decision and show their appreciation for what he has done for the franchise by agreeing to a sign-and-trade for minimal compensation. This would help the Heat's long-term image by showing they care about family and their players.

Yeah somebody brought this up. If Wade decides he wants to go to Chicago, it's no question. Wade himself said how loyal the Heat Organization was.

Is it possible that everyone is taking their sweet ass time because of the cap figure? Is it possible that teams don't know what it will be and that it will play a big role in who goes where?

I would think that, even though it's not out there, the teams would know what the true cap number is by now, but who knows.

I'm pretty sure the Bulls crunch numbers for him on the money he'll make with Jordan brand playing for the bulls. :D I think that's what the 2nd meeting was about.

Wade calling Mike:

Wade: sup Mike?

Jordan: Waaade!

Wade: how much more money can I make playing with Bulls?

Jordan: off the top of my head.......i saaay...Umm....around $30-40mill.

Wade: a year?

23:Nooo, five years.

Wade: :-?

23: 60-80mil if you Win some chips! You should have no problem with Rose, Noah, Deng & Max slot.

Wade: :o ........ :D

Heat having backburner S-&-T talks with Utah & Dallas - offering J. O'Neal and/or M. Beasley - targeting Boozer, Haywood

Reason Beasley being lumped into potential S&Ts w/O'Neal is for Heat to bring back a shooter (Korver?) or major PG help. half a minute ago via web

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

In the event the Wade decides he wants to play for the Bulls, and other options are looking pretty slim for the Heat, what are the chances they would be interested in Deng in a S&T deal? It seems like they could be in the position to want any decent player they can get their hands on, desperate some might say. Toss in that they might be appreciative of what Wade has done for the franchise, Riley's spite aside, would they even be willing to work out a sign and trade?

Granted Deng would be a pretty good SF to have, but many could argue that is too much money for a 3rd/4th option. Moving him elsewhere would provide much more flexibility to fill out the roster, and someone like Matt Barnes (much cheaper) may be sufficient as a starter.

So would Miami be willing/interested in a S&T deal??

Let's apply a little logic to this situation (apologies if this has already been discussed). Why haven't Wade and Bosh committed anywhere yet? They don't have a basketball camp that they have to finish up...it seems they must be waiting for LeBron to decide, unless they too have not yet formed their preferences. For the sake of argument, suppose Bosh and Wade do know where they want to go at this point. Also supposed that LeBron is only deciding between Cleveland and Chicago at this point and this is common knowledge.

Why wait for LeBron? If Miami was their first choice, then LeBron's decision wouldn't matter, so I think we can now at least rule that out which is fairly shocking, given the way things were looking a week ago. We can also rule out that one of them is happy going to Chicago with or without LeBron, because then he would have already signed--although I guess it's possible that they need to wait for LeBron to figure out the exact salary numbers. Still seems like they could at least make it known they are leaning heavily toward Chicago in that case. So what's left? Either one of them wants to play with LeBron in Chicago if he's coming, or the two want to play together in Chicago if he's not, but will go to Miami if he is. Otherwise, why wait on LeBron?

Bottom line is, the fact that Wade and Bosh are waiting to see if LeBron is going to Chicago would seem to indicate that we are likely to get one or both if he doesn't come, and possibly one if he does come, which is great news for the Bulls.

Am I missing something here? Only other possibility I could think of is that Bosh/Wade do want to go to Miami, but Toronto is being difficult about the sign and trade. Still, in that case I would think Bosh would have come out and said he is planning to go to Miami with or without a sign and trade to force Toronto's hand (as other FAs have done in the past). He might not have the stones though.
