Now that was an inspired drive. Just what they needed. Great job of overcoming that holding penatly.

That scramble for a first reminded me of Russ against us in his rookie year. Time for a big stop here boys!

The refs stole a bunch of time off the clock from that holding penalty

Having to face teams lead by first Bret Favre and then Aaron Rodgers can make things pretty lopsided. The real tragedy is that the Bears have not been able to find a great QB since Sid Luckman. You'd think that just by chance they'd find one after all these years....

Wow, a 41 yard gain. Defense just gives up too many big plays like that. Or extends drives by penalties. Still, holding Rodgers to 17 points late in the 4th is nothing to complain about. You just have to be able to score 25 points a game to win much in this league.

Good opp here for Fields to try to execute a drive under pressure to get a quick TD.

That clearly points to a management problem. If they haven’t been successful for decades, they should have fired Ted Phillips 10 years ago. The people making decisions don’t know what they are doing with the coaching and GM hires, which leads to constant reshuffling. Players and cultures don’t get developed. Need tried and proven execs and a complete restructure, possibly even a sale of the team.

Quick TD here. Show em what you're made of Justin.

That Packer should be kicked out of the game for punching.

Well we may take the loss but that Fields scramble makes me happy for the future.

Yeah, the whole problem is the culture of "Bears Football". Great defense, and great running game. That's how it's been since Gale Sayers and Walter Payton. They just can't break out of the mindset that that is how you win football games, even though it hasn't been that way for 40 years. But they just won't give that up and step into the "modern" era.

I agree they do need to bring in completely new people, from top to bottom. Just like the Bulls did with AKME. He turned the team around, completely changed the style of play and philosophy in less than 2 years time. It can be done. But not as long as ownership is happy with trotting out the same old product year after year. Fans deserve better. Much better.

Fields has to learn how to do a better job at sensing the rush and avoiding sacks. You just can't put yourself in these big holes.

Fields still needs to develop his ability to get the ball out quicker. Not saying he can't, but if he doesn't he's not going last long (health-wise) in the NFL.

I don’t watch much Bears football. In what I have seen this year, Fields looks horrible. But you guys seem pretty excited about him. Is that because he’s just young, o-line issues, play calling, all of the above?

Not trying to pick an open sore. Genuinely curious. Because I loved the pick.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.
