Grown an inch in height is possible. He's only 19.

WCJ will impress this year. He has a lot more game, especially offensively than what was shown playing next to Bagley and for Coach K. I was watching a YouTube clip of him playing Deandre Ayton straight up. Granted its HS ball, but WCJ looked fluid and showed a nice face up game and plenty of energy on putbacks. He even blocked Ayton a couple times and played with a nice swagger (as the focal point of his team). I saw less of this during his season at Duke as the offense was dumping it down to Bagley (and everyone else clearing out). I'm excited to see what this kid can do with better spacing, PG play, and to run him a few more offensive sets to take advantage of his all-around game.

He's around 250 right now, I like that weight for him.

Are you sure? He doesn't even look like that he weighs even 250.

He looks really slim quite honestly. Maybe he has a lot of junk in his trunk and has thunder thighs, but in terms of his upper body, he really doesn't look like he has all that much bulk to him.

From the press conference photos, he looks more like in the high 230's at most. Or maybe he just has a high body fat percentage.

He weighed in at 251.4 lbs at the combine.

For a 19 year old, I thought he looked really good in this clip. He looks strong and lean imo.

I actually have a little theory that his shoulders and upper body look relatively small due to his massive head, lol.

Just came across this video of Carter Jr going head to head with Ayton. He clearly won the matchup, looked nice.

His big head does make his shoulders a little bit small.

Max Kellerman said he would have taken WCJ #1 overall because there was no true superstar in this draft and he felt WCJ provided the biggest bang for his buck.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who would have considered him at #1.

This guy too. If you manage to not fall asleep from his talking it is a good vid.

WCJ seems like a boring pick on the surface, but if Bagley had not come to Duke and taken the spot light WCJ would have gone top 3. I really believe he is that good, and we got a steal here. Him and Lauri next to each other for the next 10+ years is going to be great.

On draft day, I really wanted Bamba to fall. When Bamba went 6. I was ok with Wendell. But then hearing everyone talk about him and saying if Bagley wasnt on Duke, we'd be talking wendall top 2-3, and NOW seeing him in SL (I know it means nothing), I expect (hope) him to end up being a top 3 player in the class. My others are JJJ and Doncic.

I wonder how much his head weighs? But I don't want him to lose weight there...he seems to use it pretty well.

Last night, he had a good all around game. I liked his poise. Not to overdo the Taj comparison, but Taj had that same poise coming in (3 years older). Also, despite a good offensive game from Zizic, he did much of his damage when WCJ was resting. Zizic is a good NBA measuring stick...I like that kid. I was super pleased with WCJ's stroke. His shot blocking served to intimidate guys, even when he didn't connect. I was really happy to see him actively looking to set picks. Also impressed that he can catch the ball high and get off a smooth shot without bringing the ball down.

Some fans don't understand how highly regarded WCJ was. Had Bagley not reclassified, it would have been the WCJ show at Duke.
Even with Bagley coming in, he could have easily overshadowed him by refusing to defer to him.
But WCJ deferring to him and adjusting his game made him even more valuable. Plus it allowed him to fall to us(and into a better situation than Bagley).

WCJ is gonna be one of those guys that stuffs the stat sheet but also does so many extra things that don't show up on the stat sheet. He's gonna be a joy to watch.

Wendell was fantastic on the defensive end yesterday and while I don’t expect him to keep up with most guards on switches like he did yesterday, kid has good defensive instincts.

I called for a defensive big with high potential to pair with Lauri. Did not realize it was Wendell. Damn he looks good.

So 19 And 24 are only 3 years apart :banghead: .

WCJ is setting the summer league on fire. He offered strong defense in the middle, and scored in a variety of ways. The kid nailed a couple of three pointers and mixed it up with jumpers and scoring in the paint. He's so smooth.

He looks incredible, but Knox might have even more upside

Lol that should be another scouting tool and measurement at the combine. How big your head is

Knox is a big talent I wanted to draft him but happy with wcj plus Knox I think will have trouble first season because his ballhandling isn't good enough for the better defenders in the league
