yeah but I'm pretty sure the folks in Texas take their BBQ really seriously

Texas BBQ is OKAY. Atlanta has better BBQ than Texas. I'm a BBQ Connoisseur... :)

Hearing that Rockets & Sixers are in fluid trade talks surrounding Jeremy Lin. HOU waiting to unload Lin's deal if it signs Melo or Lebron.

Guy writes for Boston Globe. This would be a bummer, might eliminate Philly as a team that would take on Boozer's salary. Although they have just 25.8 mil tied up for next year so maybe they could take on both.

Then we amnesty Boozer and go the "Mark Deeks" S&T route

We are not one of the fattest cities in America for no reason lol! There are more restaurants in Houston per square mile than any other city in the United States.

Melo said nah I'm good. Off to Dallas.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

Houston is growing as a food city, but still has a ways to go. Young chefs making their mark though.

I'm telling you, Dwight Howard has a way of turning you off.

When I met him during the lockout, one of the first things I said to him was, "so you must really be missing playing right now" and his answer was, "Nah, not really. Now I have time to explore other things." Basketball is a job to him. He's an amazing talent of course, but if I were a player I probably wouldn't bank my remaining prime years of basketball on him.

They also brought Drexler into the meeting. I loved watching him play, but he is one of the most boring personalities out there. It's a snooze fest listening to him speak.

A lot was made out about Anthony and Lin's relationship in NY, but Anthony has always maintained that he was a big supporter of Lin. If they have remained friendly at all, then he may have been turned off by the number thing.

So in summary:

-Short 1 hr meeting
-Dwight is an a$$
-Drexler is boring
-if Lala is hesitant about CHI she is going to shut down the idea of living in HOU fast as frack

Oh and the Lin # thing is overblown, as I noted above he would have to give that number up to Melo regardless because Melo has more time in the league, it doesn't mean he is a goner

He wouldn't HAVE to give it up. Usually players have to pay other players to get their numbers. I don't think it's the biggest thing (re: Melo), but I'm sure he's smart enough to see that it's disrespectful.

Lin is likely gone but I think even he understands the photoshop thing in the pitch. It is slightly disrespectful, sucks for Lin lol since he has his spotlight pissed on by Melo before but I doubt he takes it too personally.

Genuinely curious. How did you meet him? Part of your job? Or did you just run into him somewhere?
Derrick Rose will do 1 of 2 things in the 2014-2015 NBA Season: 1) Return to MVP form and prove you wrong, or 2) Fail to return to MVP form and prove me wrong. Either way, one of us will end up looking like an ***hole.

I for one think if guys don't have at least 10K on twitter, It's hard to know just how much to trust what they say with this stuff.

Yeah but what about the chicken?

Can Houston compete with Chicago when it comes to chicken?

Return to Chicago Bulls
