Gonna take more than just Shumpert. They have no picks to deal(1sts I mean). The real question is... Can Philly sell that to their fans considered the injury plagued guys they already have and 23.4 mil is a lot to swallow when you are going to be bad for several seasons by design.

I really think the hold up is Melo has given Phil a few days to see what he can do to upgrade the roster and future of the team. If he pulls it off, Melo resigns. If he can't get it done, Melo leaves. We're waiting on Phil.[/qu

This makes a lot of sense to me.

What does not make sense is Philly helping NY out with their cap space.

****.

If Shumpert and Amare are going out a pick is not coming back. I don't care what player is on the other end of that deal, the other team is not adding the assets.

Rose should have dressed up like Batman and rolled into the Melo meeting in the Batmobile.

DC > Marvel, we would have had him signed by Friday. Mort agrees with I'm sure.

Amare a less productive, uninsured, more expensive version of Boozer will be traded to the 76ers if the Knicks include Shumpert?

Stephen A. Smith is saying that Philly would take Amare for Shumpert and a little more...
Not that NY would take it.
He is making it seem like the trade is done if NY decides to do it.

I'm very skeptical of this.

He's not really. Hell, people don't even consider him to be Spider-Man anymore.
Garfield is better and more fitting in the role.

But honestly that 23.4 Mil from Amar'e doesn't prevent them from doing anything this upcoming season cause they were gonna suck anyway. And he comes off the books next year.

If you can get Shump and some draft picks, it may be worth it.

They're hoping to get assets in return. They're nowhere close to contending, so they have no reason to care about helping NY out right now.

I don't get it. I can't believe that's the best offer Philly can get for a salary dump. Maybe Philly is trying to leverage more from the Bulls in a Boozer dump? I dunno. Amare at $23M is just slightly cheaper and more productive than Gilbert Arenas' contract.
Honesty is my only excuse.

Boozer has a more friendly contract to swallow if Philly is willing to do that.

But in all honesty if they're after an asset, Shumpert has more value than anyone we're going to trade. Because we aren't gonna use Jimmy just to salary dump.

If Phil is able to trade either Bargnani or Amare before the season, he should win executive of the year. Makes you wonder how Boozer can be so difficult to trade if Philly is actually entertaining the idea of Amare and his bloated contract..

Your logic is flawed, in no way is DC greater than Marvel.
