If we go by that Magic carl guy's posts, maybe the NYK have been just trying to woo Pau over for the last few days before Melo re-ups. Maybe Pau is a done deal now so Melo will also be a done deal?

I'm a little baffled why Gasol is so strongly tied to Melo anyway. He's a 17 ppg player entering the twilight of his career. He would not help the Knicks and he would not help the Bulls.

Only reason I can come up with as to why Pau would accept that drastic of a pay-cut to play in NY is because he knows his brother is coming next year and wants to play with him.
