And he's a low-key exciting player to watch. Very fluid, good fundamentals, takes pride protecting the rim, good dunks, goes after rebounds. Hard hat lunch pail like Stacey would say. And I'm surprised by his athleticism. It was really understated

Knox is a big talent I wanted to draft him but happy with wcj plus Knox I think will have trouble first season because his ballhandling isn't good enough for the better defenders in the league

Yeah I'm happy with WCJ too and grateful we didn't get Bamba, because then we would've been pissed. Knox def needs some development, but I can see some Giannis in him

Wendell looked so comfortable last night playing. That block against the backboard was nasty.

I'm really curious what Wendell's body is going to look like in 5 or 6 years when his body fully matures and he has years with an NBA training staff. Not trying to be rude to Wendell (who knows, maybe he is sensitive about it), but if his frame fills out to match his head, he is going to be huge.

Are you Duck the poster's son? j/k The athleticism looks better than it is. He's not playing against NBA competition. But he could get to be this athletic at the NBA level in a year or two. We have good coaches and he has the work ethic.

Him being real good is kinda the problem. We wont be tanking but will we be contending?

I get feel he might be one of those guys who will need keep in shape and I will not say struggle but keep himself on diet and watch his weight instead like other young bigs trying gain weight. Specially if he wants to keep lateral quickness later in his career. It will keep him springy.

I wont call it problem, it's more like a gift if he has work ethic to match it up. And by reports he does.

If our young core, especially WCJ and Lauri, can lead us to the playoffs and go deep, then I'd take that. That's not a problem at all.

It should help with free agency at least.

This year? We're the future Warriors if we can go to the second round of the playoffs playing an entire team (except LaVine and RoLo, and LaVine only barely) that is on rookie contracts. If we even go .500, that would show major talent.

Im lost in here, since when contending started to become more a problem than tanking  ? Thats some serious reverse thinking (not that im sayin were contending) there  .

Gianni's to me is overrated. I don't see much value in Him since he isn't a good shooter and still hasn't developed his handles to where they need to be to take the next step

Gotta ask. What is the basis for this concern? To be honest, I find it kind of "out there."

I was going to ask the same thing. Where is this thought coming from?

Many college players come into the league not in NBA shape, simply because they don't have the resources to do so. Hell, there are players you think who were in great shape, ala Oladpio who took his body to the next level.

Point being, Wendall has never seemed like a player who was ever out of shape, just not in NBA shape. And I don't feel he is the type of player who would struggle in the discipline area to remain in shape either. I guess I'm confused as to why you think he would be the type of person who would struggle to remain in shape? It just seems off base and random.
Why so serious?

You can say it's my hot take.

He needed to slim down from college to regain bit of his step and quickness because that hurt him. Usually young bigs still need to fill out when they come into league. WCJ actually did opposite. It seems adding weight as 17-18yr old to him was no problem when he got on college. That's likely genetic. When you see him you can tell he is naturally strong just watching his legs. He has no stick legs or has overall wiry built like Bamba where his frame will fill out as his body mature.

Like I said I aint concerned. It's just something to be noticed.

Ayton and Mikal is quite the haul as it is. If Philly cannot trade for Kawhi, they may have messed it up.

Knox has more athleticism, but I'm not sure he was more upside. Carter is more skilled and I think slightly younger.

I would take the motor of Carter instead of Knox right now. Times are still easy.

Anyway, guess what, my redraft is still the same

Ayton
Luka
Bagley
Bamba
Porter (if healthy)
Carter
Mikal

I can't redraft differently. Not yet. Not for awhile.

Young had my wheels spinning though. But I wouldn't have considered him until #7

Tanking is so last season.
