Should be pointed out that both guys are FA's - so not trade targets but FA ones.
Ellington's a very good bench shooter, but wouldn't really target him myself. He's not really a premium guy, a very gettable journeyman, and I don't see enough of a need on the wing to justify paying Ellington over running with what we have and having Sampson/Alkins as 3rd string development/depth.
We have Otto and Hutchison at the 3, and at the 2 we have Lavine and Valentine will be back, who shot near 39% from 3 on a high volume in his sophomore season. He's not as versatile in terms of coming off screens and stuff, but he's still a quality shooter who can spot up as well as pull up off the dribble, and of course he's an actual quality decision maker/passer who can handle as a secondary creator, and I would say he's a little better defensively just because of his size/length. I would rather Val, especially considering the multi-ball handler system that we went to late this season.
That's all without considering the outcome where we draft a 2 or 3 like Culver/Langford/Barrett/KPJ/Reddish etc., which will make any further wing acquisitions absolutely redundant.
As for Ish, I do really like his game - he's been a quality backup for a while now who can push the pace and get guys involved. He's not efficient and can't really shoot though, and he's not a good defender. With the money we have available, I don't think there's any excuse not to get a starter quality PG.. Ish would be a very disappointing get in my eyes. Perhaps in a scenario where they draft a PG and Ish is a cheap target as a backup it makes sense, but there's still no excuse not to use more money for a better player.. unless they're splitting the FA money between a PG, SG and PF/C equally, which I think is a terrible way to approach team building.
