What is this? I love how people have to go down with the ship on their wrong takes. As we all laugh at them at how ridiculous they look doing so? File this under clowns living on people laughing at them I guess.

People should ask him what Steph Curry's record was before he won that championship in 2015, pretty sure it was a losing record too.

Zach haters have to keep moving the goalposts I guess.
As if any other star in the league compensates for raw 19/20 year old teammates in terms of +/-.
Sato/Thad/Temple are like journeyman NBA players, let's stop pretending they are moving the needle and not Zach.

Those tweets are supporting Zach saying. Basically all the young/inexperienced players are the problem with the lineups.

Damn just saw the stats and wow am I surprised.
Zach Lavine is averaging about 29ppg on 52%+ FG% and 44% from 3pt line on 8 3pga per game.
Now if he can get to 90% ft at line, that would be one of the best historically season - probably similar to when Curry was MVP. This is all with our supposedly 2nd and 3rd best player being sidelined for the most of the year.
Holy ****. That's really really rare. I think we are very spoiled with watching MJ because if we weren't, what Lavine is doing is just nothing short of Amazing.

Well everybody wanted him to be an all star, now it appears that means they trade him or pay him an extra $51M.
https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/261635/Zach-LaVines-Extension-Would-Be-$51M-Less-Than-Waiting-For-2022-Free-Agency
On the one hand, there's no way Zach signs the extension and gives up $51M. All the we're all family on this team goes out the window for that much money. On the other hand the Bulls are justified in trading him because of that $51M difference that Zach will take over any supposed loyalty to the Bulls for matching the SAC offer when he was a FA and sticking by him while he was recovering from surgery when they got him.

Zach isn’t getting traded and he will deserve every penny he gets. Get over it! Only the most delusional anti-Zach fans would believe he would extend for slightly more than he is making now. That wasn’t happening all-star or not. He has vastly outplayed his current contract. And wow how dumb are we to want our players to be recognized for great performances. /s

Get to know the Bird/FA rules. When Zach hits free agency, the Bulls can offer him a 5 year contract, with 8% salary increases each year. Other teams will only be able to offer him a 4 year contract, with 5% salary increases. The Bulls will be able to offer him a whole lot more money than anyone else. Hopefully that will suffice to keep him in Chicago.

Re: Lets talk Zach Lavine
I don't want to beat this horse to death, but I don't care how mediocre we are ........ This summer you have to go all in around Zach. That most likely means trading at least Lauri or Thad and probably our draft pick. We have the potential to open up a lot of cap space without really losing much at all. I think I calculated 48 million or so is plausible.
And it's not cause Zach is so amazing. He's a really damn good player despite his flaws and I'm glad to have him. It's because he's basically playing 15 million dollars+ above his salary. It's now or never, really. THIS is when you strike. Or you don't get to strike.

I saw a metric with that... Only KD amnd Larry Bird have done that. This year Curry, KD and Zach are in the running which is insane. Zach may not be a top no brainer talent, but the man has some elite skills and he keeps improving. Quick lets trade him for the next Lauri and Chris Dunn

This is just dumb. Why are you so focus on zach getting 40+million dollars?
The purpose of being a bulls fan is to collect 3 allstars for a big 3, not give your favorite player more than the other guy.
I hoped Lavine did not make the all star so AK could lowball him and keep Lauri while adding 2 max but sadly my scenario failed.
Now AK has no choice but to all in next yr before his 40mil kicks in. Ideally they trade Lauri for KP and someone like Lowry to form a big 3.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Yeah, I'm assuming you're correct, because the underlined is one of the most ignorant-of-the-Bird/FA-rules statements I have ever read.
There was exactly 0.000% chance that Zach was signing an extension this summer, because (what I thought was obviously) he was able to make an extra $51 million over 4 years by waiting until next summer. And that has been the case since the day he signed that Offer Sheet with the Kings.
But the article should have mentioned that while Zach can sign elsewhere for 4 years, $155 million ($38.75 million per year) next summer, he'll be able to sign here for 5 years, $208.8 million ($41.76 million per year)
The article also left out the part where if Zach were to make All-NBA next season, he'll be eligible for the Supermax, which would get him a 5 year, $243.6 million deal ($48.72 million).

I don’t care how much he makes. I just vehemently disagree with the rhetoric that he should be traded if he won’t take a lowball offer. Ideally he would sign a team friendly deal that leaves more cap room to sign better players to help the team a contender. I’m realistic though and no player is going to do that unless there is a plan that can be executed immediately. Like they would need to have this other player(s) ready to sign or be traded for immediately. Like when Wade and Lebron took less so Bosh could get his. Or when Boozer took our lower offer over the Nets to allow us to sign better players because we looked like a contender. No one is going to take a discount on some promise of what could happen down the road. And if he did do that it still would not be for something as low as 4 years/$100 million. So an extension was never happening with how well he has played.
I also don’t agree with the rationale of hoping players on your team get snubbed from awards. This is great for the Bulls too. Don’t know if you watch post-game shows but Kendall Gill was talking about how people that have not been seriously following the Bulls in years are now watching all the games. That is mostly because of Zach. If not for his play this season it is another worst in league team that no one cares about. When you perform like this you get recognition and you get paid. It’s that simple.

Meh KP and Lowry doesn’t make a big 3. Lowry needs to be on a team that contends today. With Zach in the fold though it opens up more possibilities, other stars are going to be more willing to come here, ones that aren’t obvious today but may be after this season. We sold Butler too soon and would have been in sweepstakes for a guy like AD... now likely it wouldn’t have happened but we could have at least been in the game. More opportunities like that will unfold, they do all the time now but you need at least one star, which we officially now have again.
