The dude from The Bulls Show podcast just tweeted that he met Reggie, who wasn't very optimist about our chances on landing Melo.
Also said that the disconnect between Rose's Camp and management is real.

But that's the thing, if it involved other teams in the deal, or even either team looking for trade partners or what not, then yes, I'd agree. But the fact that there is absolutely no news to me seems like it's just two teams trying to work out a deal thus there have been no leaks.

Plus, PJ and Paxson are tight, so that's another reason why there may not many others involved to get in the way or to provide leaks in this instances.

Again, this is all just a hunch.
