Either Kidd will be the next laker coach or he knows lillard is gonzo.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
So Embiid comes out in introductions to DX's (WWE) theme and the Hawks are taking the 76ers to the woodshed right now? That sounds about right, I guess.

I think it's understandable. This situation could easily lead to Portland blowing this up and Lillard asking for a trade; Kidd isn't going commit to a team led by Anfernee Simons for the next 4 years when he won a title last season.
He really developed Giannis well, he's probably not looking for another gig as an A->B coach but gets dumped just when the team becomes competitive.
Kidd should take every job he can, he’s very bad. But considering that his name comes up all the time when teams are looking for coaches, you might actually be right that he just doesn’t like the situation.

Remember when more than half the board preferred Kris Dunn to Trae Young? Good times.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
his how is how I got this series
Embiid > Capella
Simmons > Collins
Harris > Hunter
1. Curry < Young
2. Green < Bog not by much kind of debatable
Basically 76ers can have the FC advantage and win 3/5 matchups

Green is pretty good and has been vital to multiple championship teams .
Oh yeah and bog isn’t really a SG.
He is a sf and if you factor him playing out of position it could devalue him in a matchup
But seriously I feel like I gotta spell everything out on this board sometimes.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
Chicago-Bull E I have seen the future.
We land a top 4 pick, send the pick and PWill to Port (other stuff too, of course) Maxey goes to Port, and a Philly pick too
Lillard to Philly
Simmons to Bulls, resign Lauri and put 4 shooters around simmons
White/Sato
Lavine/Temple
Simmons/Brown
Lauri/TYoung
Vuc/?

You can’t act like I’m stupid all you want, Bogdanovic is the far better player.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
Hawks are led by a 22yo so I don’t expect them to take the series (barre an Embiid setback), but short of the Nets, they really are the most legit offensive team left in the playoffs (considering all the injuries).
They’ve got so many high-IQ two-way 3P shooters, coupled with athletic defenders. The core is just really young (no pun intended). But they can play 4 (even 5) shooters without a problem. We can only hope Chicago gets to something remotely close of a build.

If I'm Philly I almost rather just get run out than make those comebacks just to lose it anyway. Coming back like that twice and still losing like this can just crush a team's soul. Philly just got their soul crushed and Embiid hurt his knee pretty bad in the last minute.

Only 1 game, but I'm happy for Mr. Sonic Nate McMillan.
He's been perennially overachieving with his teams but never considered a top coach.

Yeah, Embiid playing 39 minutes in a home loss is brutal.

If the ping-pong balls fall the wrong way for Houston and they end up at #5 then their pick conveys to Oklahoma and Houston gets Miami's pick . That means the Thunder could get two very high picks in this draft. At worst the Thunder get their own pick and Miami's which is projected to be @ 18. And they have 3 Second rounders. Add in the fact that it is reported that Vasilije Micic is coming over to join them next season. So they have a ton of trade capital. If they draft right over the next several years they can build a real powerhouse squad. They already have some nice building blocks led by SAG.

I’m a big Simmons fan and like his fit here, but I actually think his value is down. I don’t think he gets a top 4 pick and Williams. All his numbers were down this year, and now he’s 25, and the idea of him growing out of his shooting woes is all but gone.
I kind of think it’s Pat Williams, Thad, and Coby. 76ers hope Thad can give them 80% of what Simmons did, and get 2 prospects on top of that.
If the Bulls land Cade or Suggs, I think they keep that player and nab Simmons. Who knows if Philly is interested.
