the shirt gives the phrase context. using the very bridge that i suggested get incorporated [pats self on back]. and it's still gonna result almost exclusively in puzzled looks directed at anyone wearing it

I think anyone from the west coast knows what that meant. Especially being the 49ers. it’s clever.

eh, about as clever as your average college student t-shirt that tries to be clever. plus they should wait until he actually does something in the league. "money mitch" sounds pretty damn stupid in retrospect, and that didn't encompass an entire metropolitan area

Sucks for Anthony, thought he could do well in Houston but his shoulders aren't cut out for this.

Game recap:

The stands were filled with #1 jerseys. Pretty astonishing considering he hadn't played a game yet.

David Montgomery tweeked his ankle on the first play and went straight to the bench.

Damian Williams + Khalil Herbert have some juice. The running hasn't had this depth in a long time.

Alec Ogletree is going to get snaps as the third ILB. He was everywhere and spelling Danny T will help keep him fresh.

The crowd was dead up until the moment Fields walked on the field. Pretty close to a standing ovation for him which was pretty cool.

Dalton does nothing for the offense and can't do anything off script. That picture of Fields right before the snap showed he's pretty advanced pre snap already - he knew that was going to be a TD pre snap. Post snap/when things go off script - he's elite. That throw when he was rolling out and threatening to scramble and picked up an easy ten was something. There were multiple plays where he showcased his rare combo of athleticism and awareness. He's going to be in the upper echelon in this from the jump.

Jesse James was a great pickup for them, hopefully Cole Kmet can take a leap forward but having Jesse, Cole and Jimmy will be a nice luxury.

Justin is somebody who raises the level of the players around him, they don't need to put everything on his shoulders right away because there's a really good RB room, a decent TE room and two legit WRs in AR12 + Mooney. They'll figure out the offensive line and tbh Justin has the elite athletic ability to make those problems go away. Debating going next week because I think it's going to be more of the same.

Money mitch came from the movie “Paid in Full”, it fit when he first hit the scene he had a decent little swag about him as a rookie until Chicago stripped him of his confidence due to his poor play.

Trey Area is a nod to e-40 who often yells Bayyyyyyy Areaaaa and the big hyphie movement scene that fits the area.

I’m sure it’s people who feel bears fans yelling “Da Bears” in the old SNL fashion think it’s stupid as well if they don’t understand Chicago accents

But most nicknames these days come from hip hop culture and if you’re not familiar then it’s gonna come off stupid. But majority of the youth globally are familiar so it’s probably going to stick. We’ll likely here Ice Trey and Trey Way or Trey Day and a whole bunch of other things..

Just waiting for people to start calling Justin “The Franchise” or Franchise Fields.. stealing Steve Francis nickname.. which would be fitting cause it’s the Bears first Franchise QB, and he acts like a Franchise QB oozing with confidence.

Apparently Jordan Love had a similar day to Fields. Which is the most typical thing ever for a Bears fan to experience

if fields and love both become stars, i'm sure that's a tradeoff all bears fans will sign up for

the main difference yesterday was that fields ran the ball effectively and love was exclusively a passer

They're not going to pay Adams, this kid didn't show anything spectacular in this game - they're going to learn that Rodgers covered up a ton of their lack of elite playmaking talent over the years. Love looked closer to Mitch than what we saw yesterday.

Now the internet is upset because Fields is alleged to not have pocket discipline enough for an O-line to block effectively for him.

If they both become stars, this indicates that weirdly, the devil is a quarterbacks dealer. And obviously the Packers shop with it. Because there is no way for one franchise to casually roll out franchise quarterbacks one after another, after another, without satanic intervention

He really had a mediocre day. Nothing about his day was dynamic. He looked really nice using his check downs all game. His TD pass came from a RB screen who did most of the work to get into the end zone.

It cannot be possible for a franchise to have 3 straight franchise quarterbacks right? If Jordan Love becomes another Favre/Rodgers, I swear…

110 QBR. He looks like he has good feet, moves well in the pocket, some touch, a good arm.

I just don’t see him as a QB who attacks down the field.. going to your check downs will enable you a high QBR. That’s not surprising.

didn't favre take over for don "the devil's majik" majkowski?

and by the way, haskins also had a similarly effective outing, so take all of this with a large grain of salt
