The Pacers traded for Aaron Nesmith, a 2023 pick, Theis/Morgan/Fitts/Stauskas for Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon is a good player, but looking back Boston would be better off with the pick and Nesmith.

Good move. It's the kind of trade I wish AK would make.

Bulls fans? I mean, I don't know, but since we have done that once only since 1998 I'm guessing that will be a big deal, the next time that it happens.

highly doubt it

Looks like you need an elite PG to be a championship contender in today's league.

Well developing and trying out rotations throughout the season is a thing a coach should do. But it's Thibs

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Kind of odd to be looking forward to an OKC VS Pacers finals but man am I keen to see SGA vs Hali in a best of 7 series...

I think it's just good to see 2 different teams at the top other than the same old team(s) year after year after year, I will admit I'd prefer a Wolves (Ant) vs Pacers (Hali) finals, but that doesn't seem to be on the cards.

I dunno. The issue IMO is less Thibs and more roster. The KAT trade, IMO, hurt them - in that the alternative was to keep Randle and play him part time as a small ball 5, part time at the 4, have Hart or DiVincenzo off the bench, and go grab a cheap but playable FA defensive 5 to back up Robinson.

They gutted their depth for KAT, and are paying the price. Cam Payne and post prime Delon Wright, declined Shamet and Precious aren't good enough as reserves. Not sure why they added Tucker, either.

Narrative bologna.

No one “developed” off of that bench, nor is mixing/matching rotations going to save NY from the talent gap (compared to Indy), fit issues, and the defensive weaknesses of their two best players.

Thibs has flaws we all know well, but in this case Knick fans just want a scapegoat for what they can’t or won’t admit to themselves:
They just aren’t as good as Indiana.

Not sure what Thibs is supposed to do. His two star offensive players, Brunson & KAT are poor defenders. The Knicks attempt to compensate by surrounding them with elite defenders, but that's only a partial solution. If the other team is going off, as Indy did, the Knicks have holes that can be exploited.

Make Brunson & KAT 2-way players and Thibs will look a lot smarter.

I also didn’t care for the KAT trade. They should’ve kept Hartenstein, and probably targeted Caruso as an addition. As absurd as it sounds, these 2 roleplayers are probably going to be the reason OKC wins a ring.

Their guard depth stinks, and I can’t blame Thibs for playing Brunson to death. They’re definitely missing Divincenzo’s 3Ps.

As we near a likely Indiana vs OKC Finals - a quick reminder on where each team's starting lineups were drafted:

Pacers:

11
12
31
27
14

OKC:

11
12
Undrafted
2
43

6th man - undrafted

I think it's fantastic too.. Just one of those odd match ups that you don't think sounds sexy at the beginning of any season.

I wish Presti was our GM.

He's built 2 different dynastic teams in the span of a decade.

Hard to believe Minny paid this for Gobert to play him only 19 minutes in an elimination game, for 2 points and 5 boards.
- Malik Beasley
- Walker Kessler
- Vanderbilt
- 4 first round picks
- pick swap

A lot of assets that could have been spent on someone other than Rudy, while still getting some kind of rim protector at the 5.

It's not just a talent advantage, it's also a matchup advantage.

After game 7 vs Den

Dominant team.

As someone who lived in Seattle, it's a bit painful to see that OKC will get a championship with the Seattle FO and organization.

I bet. I feel bad for the Seattle fans. This should be their team.
