I would have preferred Mikal Bridges but WCJ was second on my board of remaining players.

The fact that the FO had the wisdom to pass on Porter makes this pick a HUGE win in my book. The most important thing is who he is not.

Because many of us don't see Al Horford in WCJ.

Al Horford is a PF and a very good one.

I think that WCJ will also be a very good PF, but maybe not for the Bulls.

I see WCJ more as PF,not C.. Lauri will play center more likely in a year or two..

WCJ was BPA.

I'd rather take talent than try and force a certain kind of style with inferior players.

Seeing porter Jr slide like this , makes me feel better about the carter pick.

Bamba was likely our guy, Orlando screwed us, carter was best available.

there are lots of teams with "traditional centers" who would shred lauri apart

i'm not saying the carter pick is guaranteed to work out, but the league is not at the point where we can abandon the notion of having a real man in the middle type.

Love the pick. Think he'll complement Lauri well and be a really solid citizen for us for a decade.

Still, even if he didn't play a game for two years, I would have taken the chance on Porter Jr.

He’ll be boring to watch. Guards tend to dominate selfishly in SL.

I took the year off, but I'm back now and I'm starting out by calling out KC Johnson for not honoring ESPN's exclusivity agreement by announcing this pick on twitter before it had been called.

#1 really?

I know he has a high floor but his poetential that high? I didn't watch a lot of Duke games.

Well I do not think he has super star potential but I also don't really think he has bust potential which I actually believe all of the players drafted ahead of him all have. I probably would not have taken him number one in the end but I would have considered it and have been saying so for months. He just seems to have a better motor than Bamba and ayton and more skilled offensive Lee than JJJ and more versatile and better defensively than Luca. I won't even comment on Trae Young. Oh and a better Defender and more versatile than Bagley.

I’m confident that back or no back, people will realize in time that MPJ just wasn’t a special prospect. One of the most overhyped players I’d seen. Ever.

Speed is not something you can really increase unless you lose weight. Speed is genetics as much as anything.

He was at 7.8 percent body fat at the Combine. WCJ could get that number closer to 5 by the time the off season ends and lose 5-10 lbs while maintaining that low body fat percentage. That alone could increase quickness significantly. But if he becomes a maniac in the gym ala James Harden or Victor Oladipo, WCJ could go even further than that.
