I like Zach a lot. Not sure how to feel. I’m leaning towards hoping the Bulls match.

This is the range where I say, let the GM do their job. I won’t be totally pissed with what they do either way. But there’s been a lot of talk and questions about where his offer was at. What his market is. This that and the other. Well, those people should be somewhat silenced now. Right?

Considering that teams Lavine has played on have done better when he's not on the court, we actually can expect to be better without Lavine on the team next year. And esp. if we use that money to sign a more efficient player.

i still think the bulls should prrrrobably match just from a talent-retention perspective but this is basically right at my breaking point. not going to sweat it either way, honestly

i think the biggest takeaway is that it's a bad idea to start your rebuild by acquiring a questionable prospect coming off ACL surgery and destined for free agency in one year

This deal makes no sense for the Bulls. Even if they match Lavine there's no possible way for them to give anyone a second round pick.
