I think what’s most telling is that he had issues with the Team Chef  . Like who ever has beef with the team chef. That was a foreshadowing If I ever seen one.

Very good, and very unsurprising, news.

With Boylen fired, I can now say 2020 is finally taking a turn for the best. Only good thing that’s happened this year, at least for me.

A first step in the right direction but there aremany other steps necessary for the Bulls growing into a contender again.

He’s taking ownership of the whole thing and letting it sink or swim with him. Bring in his own guys and this team and culture will reflect what he sees going forward and nothing from the past. Hopefully! Lol

Next guy to dump is Steve Weinman and all the assistant coaches other than Fleming.

At least they made a move and did something. What this signals could be anything. Who they hire will tell us more about what the plan is.

It seems unlikely they trade any of the young core group and tear everything down. Why bring in a new coach to a certain losing record.
Maybe they've looked at what they in heirited and think they could keep who they have, hope everybody stays healthy, make a couple of good picks, a small trade or two and get in the playoffs. Look at the start the Cubs are off to after only changing managers.
They could look to trade Young, Porter, Valentine, Dunn, Satoransky, Hutchison, Arcidiacono and Kornet to get longer contracts and picks, move up or down in the 1st round. Just ship them out and start building around Lavine, White, Markkanen, Carter, Gafford and the two draft picks.
I would like to see them buy a late FRP, maybe trade some of those guys for 2nds and trade up into the first. To start cutting and building as soon as possible.

I'm just relieved right now. I really thought the devastating financial crisis the Reinsdorfs are in right now (I'll keep praying for them) would allow Jimbo to stay. But he needed to go. He was part of an era that the Bulls needed to leave behind and he certainly wasn't a good head coach.

Excited for what comes next.

Wasn't Fleming the guy ostensibly in charge of the worst aspect of our team? I'm curious why he should be kept.

Seriously.

When I saw that post a couple of weeks ago I thought "how could we replace the FO and keep the same coach??" Add to it, Boylen was 39-84, how could there even be a debate to keep someone that bad?!

39-84, I didn't know he was THAT bad.
