Best SF physical prospect we've had since Pippen right?

After injecting some Copium into my veins... I must say that Williams jumper looks pretty wet... BG vibes.

At first I’m not sure how I feel, partly because I don’t know much about him. All I’ve read are good things and apparently Billy D likes him a lot. He’s definitely a big SF. I need to do more research on him. Hopefully he could be huge asset.

I’ve read his stock skyrocketed during the Pre-Draft process. Maybe he could’ve been a hot commodity had their been an NCAA Tournament.

Who the hell this dude is.
And what was all those pre-draft rumors of that Bulls are going to draft lead playmaker.
So does this dude have any basketball IQ and playmaking skill or is he next Chandler Hutchison.

I'm not fan of this pick yet.
But i reserve a option to change my opinion when i see this dude on the NBA court.

It's polarizing.

He is good off ball defender who anticipates well in passing lanes and help defense, blocks etc. which means he understand playing defense and being switchable. He is worse on ball as ISO defender. He can guard bigs and wings just fine, but he can't guard guards. He can't move hips and feet fast enough after enough shake and bait.

That's what I got from report.

Williams — a 6-foot-8 wing out of Florida State — is the big winner of the pre-draft process thus far. He has boosted his stock from outside the lottery at the conclusion of the college season to getting looks as high as the No. 4 pick, sources say.

Ugh, Williams is a forward, not a wing. He doesn’t play like a wing on either end, but particularly on O. His future is at the 4.

I'm glad you brought this up. When I watch him on film he really looks like a 4. Doesn't remind me of an NBA 3 at all. As you say, he even plays defense like a 4. Hopefully he grows.

With this being such an even draft class with lots of players with positives and also glaring negatives, I personally don't think this pick is a reach in the slightest.

I like his physical attributes, his current skill set, and he looks to have a great head on his shoulders. Not to mention, he is one of the youngest in the draft class, so he has the potential for so much growth and he already has a mans body.

I'm not surprised a lot of Bulls fans are down on him, and that opinion may not even change during his rookie season, but I think long term he has the potential to be a special player. I think the Bulls got a good one here.

Count me in on someone who is a big fan of this pick.

is it true he has kawhi leonard size hands/claws?

<shrug> Not who I would've chosen but the kid does make a ton of basketball sense for this roster. We need rebounding and help defense badly to make this team work.

Definitely a perceived BPA pick, but the upside seems to be there. At the end of the day, no one in the general public really knows how much he improved to impress teams so much.
Even though he still seems quite raw, his focus on defense may get him some playing time early

From what I have seen, this is a very good summary. His defense is best off ball, particularly on the interior.

Pretty good test for the brand new player development department they finally invested in. Secretly hoping this was picked for Detroit in a trade back.

Doesnt matter, he's too slow to play the 3, too small to play the 4. Perfect...

If the thought is to dump Wendell and play Lauri at the 5 with PW at the 4, I kind of get it. PW plays a good bit like Wendell, actually.

I mean, besides Ron Artest, Luol Deng, Andres Nocioni, and Jimmy Butler. And other journeymen and guys playing out of position, yeah...longshot maybe. But no. He's definitely not.

I wish the Bulls can get a middle 1st rd pick and select Kira Lewis Jr.
