I must admit that I underrated how trash that Warriors team is. It's really just Steph and some guys without Draymond (who is not going to improve their offense probably). Some fringe NBA guys getting significant minutes in game 1 of the season. Juan Toscano-Anderson guarding KD at times. Wiggins still very much the same.

Wiseman looked intriguing for sure though. Still out of control and out of position a lot, but that's completely normal for a 19-year-old as a starter in his first NBA game on national TV. He also hasn't played in 500 years. But he flashed some really interesting stuff, especially with the ball in his hands. I wasn't a fan pre-draft, but I always hope they prove me wrong. The Warriors could definitely use a ROY type season from him.

I'd buckle up then. My feeling is he'll be excellent.

And should Patrick Williams be excellent too, will people still be moping about not getting Wiseman? I don't think there was any legit chance of trading up to get him.

There probably wasn't. I still like Williams a lot as well. Nice production from our pick would certainly take some sting away!

It's just Steph. Draymond has been some guy without the floor completely spread and superstars surrounding him.

Disagree, I still think he can be a difference-maker defensively. Not like 2016 Dray, but he can certainly still make more of an impact than the other guys they have. We'll see how committed he is this year, that's obviously the question.

The Warriors are not trash because they got destroyed on opening night.

No one who understands the NBA expected them to be a top 4 team in the west.

The Nets came out to prove a point. Golden State probably wins their next game.

That's not what I said. Their roster is terrible and I somehow missed that.

GS is awful. They have no depth. They'll be fighting for the most ping pong balls again. I doubt Draymond plays more than 40 games. Dude has checked out from his NBA career now that he's had success and gotten paid.

Maybe in the perfect setting. But he's regressed a lot since then. His shooting has completely fallen off, he's seen a decline across the board and he's lost a step. As other teams have gone small, he's doesn't really offer much advantage. Maybe he returns to form? But at this point, I think he's becoming a bad contract and Wiseman will replace him in a year or so.

Steph can't hold up carrying the load night in and night out like he did in the past. I think he'll get injured like last year.

I'm glad my dislike of Harden is justified. I know the man is talented but he bugs me the wrong way. I rather watch "The Decision" on loop for 7 days straight than watch Harden's game.

Hate to ruin the fun but it's actually Kenyon Martin Jr that's the source of the COVID issues.

Well, kind of... but Cousins and Wall were with him at someone's apartment "getting haircuts". Then Martin tested positive.

I don't know what those vets were thinking (well, mainly Wall... Cousins is a known knucklehead. He probably doesn't think).

At least Wall didn't "slip and fall" while "getting a haircut" and and rupture his achilles again.

I think he's going to have to change his game when he goes somewhere. He won't be the hometown superstar. If he's a guy who works within a system, he'll be great. MD just isn't a real coach and I think it created this Harden.

But yea, this Harden is brutal to watch. And he won't even play off ball.

LaMelo looking bad now that the intensity of the defense is up.

Yeah, Krause was never gonna trade him and JR wouldn't let him. JR wouldn't sign off on a pip deal.

that doesn't mean they're gonna pull the trigger before the bidding is over. it certainly doesn't mean that teams are just offering peanuts

He looks nervous and unsure of himself. He played so confident in the preseason.
