People focus so much on age. If you get 2-3 years of great production from Vuc, helps you get to the 2nd round, possibly farther...

Wouldn't you say it was worth it?

I'm thrilled, both that they dumped off Otto's contract and WCJ's disappointing self, and that they brought in someone who could flourish in Donovan's offence and bolster this team for the future. A strong, confident move, and if it works out well enough, the picks will be mostly irrelevant anyway.

Define really good?

I can see how Vuce + Lavine + strong playmaking perimeter player can be the basis of a very high level offense. I don't see where we're getting that 3rd star though.

And defensively, I think you can be solid, but I feel like there's an obvious ceiling if you're building around Vuce + Lavine.

I kinda feel the same. 30 makes me a little nervous, but his game isn't all that reliant on athleticism.

I'm pretty much ok with "Top 4 protection" since I'm not very very high on this upcoming draft class. We got a big in his prime and this guy has some more GOOD years left. More imprtant....we got rid of WCJ and OPJ......thank god.

2023 pick....who cares.....we won't be a LOTTERY TEAM.....GOOOO BULLLLS

Seems like Orlando is rebuilding again so this move isn’t bad for them. Otto contract is expiring, they might even buy him out.Carter is only 21 they can give him a chance to see if he can turn things around as their starting center and then they get 2 first round picks for which is what a rebuilding team needs.

I'm sure Miami isnt mad they signed Butler at 30. We don't need Vuc here 10 years to make this trade worth it.
